I can think of another more successful team that has gotten by on flashy programs and one partner essentially being pulled off the ice as much as possible :p
 I’m not convinced she has Chock’s riz or taste to pull that pathway off.

But in any event, if that’s the strategy good for them to utilize B E N O I T and not rely on Igor. They need about 500% more alien and 200% more dynamic acrobatics to get that level of amnesia to what’s happening when the blade touches the ice.

This is going to be crucial for the Browns. Can they score in the range that Bratti/Somerville, Green/Parsons, and Zingas/Kilesnik do or are they in lower tier with Neset/Markelov and Pate/Bye?

They have an appeal which some of the other American teams don't. Of course I think we should judge what is on the ice, but they have an it factor that sadly the Browns and Pate and Bye just don't and that Green and Parsons have somehow lost.
Yes. Even as an uber, I recognize Z/K's shortcomings, but I think they are being rewarded for showmanship and showing improvement. And while this FD hasn't quite jelled yet, I like that it's very different from Beauty and the Beast.

I was thinking more Fear/Gibson, myself

Whelp, Z/K I feel like might have just gotten a smidge closer to being first alternates in Boston.

Even if the lift had gotten good GOE their TES would have been several points below Z/K.

I totally thought that comment was about FearGib. I guess that it can apply to multiple top teams shows it's sadly a pathway that works.

Browns

Nice twizzles, Salvaged the straight line lift, but ouch, I continue to think this program needs some highlight moves—there’s no moment that’s particularly memorable and they’re not at the skill-level yet to rely solely on a well-delivered seamless performance (which this was not today)

Piper's dress is just standard-level skating ugly. Paul's costume is several levels worse. Like... Never should have been imagined. At all. Or executed by any self-respecting costume designer. This is one time you have to put your foot down and refuse the commission just to save your reputation.
In what world does new and unique styles not become the point for most fashion designers?

You'd probably have an aneurysm if you ever went to a nightclub or saw any major fashion brand show these days, or for that matter saw what I wore (or didn't wear) for my many years in nightlife.

The Browns were never in the mix. I was so unconcerned about them being a factor I was more interested in responding to the discussions about Emilea's lack of star power and Paul's ugly-ass costume.
