I’m calling it now: The ?? are winning the women’s 4x400m in Paris. And probably the mixed 4x400m too. And Femke Bol ?? doing all four 400m events is doable. It would be insane, but it’s doable.

That’s probably a good idea. I’m ?? but I’m rooting for Bol to beat McLaughlin in the 400m hurdles in Paris. I understand that championships are the “big show” but I’m not a fan of Sydney only competing twice a year. The constant withdrawals from Diamond Leagues and WD from Worlds in 2023 wasn’t a good look, IMHO.

Noah Lyles has responded - I’m mean, he’s not wrong.

IMHO, if Kerley wanted to run this relay, he could have competed at U.S. Indoors like every other American who wanted to try out for this team did. It’s not like it wasn’t clearly stated by USATF.

That’s good to know. I’m not sure how much hype and $$$$ Duplantis would be getting here in the ??, especially compared to Noah Lyles and Sha’Carri Richardson.

He'd be getting the same level of hype that Ryan Crouser gets, I'd guess. Which is to say probably not quite the level of Lyles, Richardson or Sydney McLaughlin but still pretty substantial as far as track & field/athletics goes.

The World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships are taking place today in Turkey with the spots on the line for the new Mixed Relay marathon event. Really unusual format in that teams only have two athletes with each athletes doing alternate 10km legs.

It made for exciting viewing from Bahamas by having the top two teams qualify for the Olympics. Nice to see upsets and pbs for teams like Norway women to qualify for the relay at the Olympics. I had no idea Ireland had a strong team and yay for Canada ??

I really enjoyed watching the world relays. Seems like a fun event to attend for people who like relays - a whole event of high stakes, high quality relay racing.
