I think that what that says is that USFSA doesn’t think Chan and Howe will be improving this season and should focus on next season.

or they gave mcbeath/parkman the option of which they wanted to go to and they picked the test event?? Or any number of other things lol idk to me this all kind of makes sense but also it gets me another shin/nagy competition so you knowMcBPark are going to the OWG test event. I find it REALLY interesting that they're being sent to this over KamOShea (or ShiNagy), to be honest. Why would we send a pairs team to the OWG test event that isn't even going to be in the mix for the Olympics spots? Or, perhaps they are in the mix after all...
They are definitely in the mix if we have three spots. They are a team to be watched even with two. I was really impressed with them in person. Everything was good, they are doing the hardest content.McBPark are going to the OWG test event. I find it REALLY interesting that they're being sent to this over KamOShea (or ShiNagy), to be honest. Yes - he's tight with Justin Dillon. There have been some questionable assignments in pairs the past couple seasons and it's always been to the benefit of a Meekins team.Drew Meekins has that kind of pull with the federation? I'm unsure about that.. I'd believe Bruno Marcotte had more pull even if he is Canadian. No offense to Drew but he hasn't coached a senior world championship team to my knowledge.
Can't say I necessarily disagree with this either. Hopefully they are also told to ditch their terrible FS.I think that what that says is that USFSA doesn’t think Chan and Howe will be improving this season and should focus on next season.
Well, I meant "in the mix" because he has a US passport unbeknownst to the general fandom. They are definitely in the mix if we have three spots. They are a team to be watched even with two. I was really impressed with them in person. Everything was good, they are doing the hardest content.
I feel like the program improved from when we first saw it but I’m definitely raving about it and wouldn’t think it is something that warrants being using for two years.Yes - he's tight with Justin Dillon. Oh okay I don’t follow their passports. lolWell, I meant "in the mix" because he has a US passport unbeknownst to the general fandom.
That is what jumped out to me as well.Wait. Shin/Nagy got 4Cs over Chan/Howe?
Just guessing here but I think kam and oshea want to wash that skate out of their mouth before worlds. I don’t think the next time they want to compete is after that huge disaster of a skate.I would have sent E/M, M/P, and S/N to 4C's, and left K/O and C/H home to regroup, and, if there's an injury with C/H, to heal and start thinking of next season. The incremental WS points that K/O and C/H might get at 4C's aren't going to be very meaningful for them for GP start orders, and E/M, M/P, and S/N need every point they can get.
I would rather see the Top 5 US Pairs be ranked more equally going into next season and for all of them to get/have championship experience.
But they didn't ask me![]()
Except that the bulk of ChanHowe's WS points are going to be dropped after this season and they have just their Worlds points from last season and their GP/Int'l points from this season, so they're going to drop quite a bit. Now, I think they're a quality enough team that if they come out strong in some early Challengers next season, they're not going to be hurt if they wind up in the first group at any GP.I would have sent E/M, M/P, and S/N to 4C's, and left K/O and C/H home to regroup, and, if there's an injury with C/H, to heal and start thinking of next season. That is the question of the day, being asked all over the figure skating fandom, lol.has anyone heard anything in regards to Daniil Parkman and citizenship?
I was reading Claire Cloutiers article from last year and was surprised to see he grew up in the US, similarly to Nagy, but no mention of citizenship.
Chan and Howe have been benched after a rough season
I have an Israeli friend who grew up here and she does have US citizenship, she applied at age 18. I’m gonna tag @MsZem who also lived here as a teenager to inquire how easy it is to get citizenship that way.has anyone heard anything in regards to Daniil Parkman and citizenship?

Yes, they should get WS points. The competition is open to all ISU Members and the only limits are on the # of entries from each country as well as the field size, neither of which would disqualify the event from being eligible for WS points.I went over this a third time, the worlds entries…including the order of the alternates seems exactly right to me.
And then for 4 c all I wanna know still is if Katie and Danill get points for the test event…. if so, then I’m fine with 4 cc and the alternate order as well.
I don’t think it seems political. Political would be if Emily and Spencer made any of the teams. That would be political.
If it gets points it will be as a Senior B and it won't be anywhere near as many points as 4CC and scores won't count for the Seasons Best list.Yes, they should get WS points. Journalists had a good chance to at the pairs FS press conference, but no, everybody was pooped and just wanted to go home. That is the question of the day, being asked all over the figure skating fandom, lol.

If you come to the US as a child, I do know that you can't become naturalized unless one of your parents becomes naturalized first.I have an Israeli friend who grew up here and she does have US citizenship, she applied at age 18. Can't help - I'm not a US citizen and have never considered trying to become one, since I have a perfectly good German citizenshipI have an Israeli friend who grew up here and she does have US citizenship, she applied at age 18.
