2024 - 2025 NFL Training Camps, Roster Changes and the return of Swifties

Glad to see Dak get a contract, and to see my Cowboys win today in Cleveland!

Tua breaks my heart...such a good guy. The players have an option to wear the guardian caps in the games and they won't do it. When you are young you think you are immortal.

So many are calling for him to retire and enjoy his family.

But his coach seems to not care. You'll be our quarterback when you return, or something like that.

Tua stresses me out. I remember 2 years ago when his concussions were so serious, and they had him out and playing way too soon. And down he went again. Something isn't working in Miami. Damar Hamlin barely touched him. Tua went head first into him. My first instinct was to panic over Damar, then to see Tua down and those involuntarily movements... It's too much. Football isn't worth it.

Tua’s hit, especially with him going head first, was ? to watch. Didn't Tua have a really scary concussion about a year ago? Or was that someone else?

He got a concussion (maybe his first one) during a Thursday night game against my Bengals in 2022 I believe (it wasn't all that long ago). It was scary as heck to see happen while watching the game on TV and I'm amazed that he's still playing the game. Sending him prayers for a complete recovery from this latest injury. :(

He has had at least 3 maybe 5 in his pro career. I don't know about college. I think he played for Washington

So many: I get irritated by the people who are angry at QB protection. Here was a “celebrated” hit in college that was legal. No way I want this in the NFL:

My brother is/was representing several pro players who have the CLE (is that the abbreviation) who are severely disabled. Not big names, lower level players.

We need to protect brains. And in the case of Tua mandatory retirement

And let’s not forget that the NFL wants to talk about anything except CTE. They rightly honor veterans and the fight against breast cancer but when it comes to CTE you don’t hear a peep. I was listening to a sports journalist talk about Walter Payton after football and before CTE became widely known. He said this sweet, caring man became suicidal and sometimes threatened others before succumbing to cancer. He’s sure the changes had something to do with CTE. All of this and the NFL wants to add another regular season game. Money grubbing madness.

About the Bills: I simply cannot fathom Josh Allen not winning a SB. He is one of one because of his size and strength both throwing and running. There are so many good QB’s now. So much good football to come….but make them wear guardian caps!!!

I really hope Josh Allen gets a super bowl win, hopefully with the Bills, but with any team if it can't be Buffalo. He's basically a god here.

It will be Buffalo and I want to see Bills Mafia go wild. Well the half is almost over...watching my team givng the Bengals turnovers in the first half. Sigh.

Pacheco has a fractured fibula? I thought I saw him walking after that hit.

So no Pacheco no Hollywood Brown? It's going to be a rough season. Hopefully Worthy can do his magic.

Well Kareem Hunt is back but I think two major weapons out is bleak.

Well, dang I think we are going to have to listen to Chris Collingswood for a while..he's reported to be siging a new contract. One that puts him in line to announce the Super Bowls.

I"m curious about where the running game is going. We were already headed to more passing when Mahomes was drafted and the first two years he started he was ripping defenses apart particularly when the blitzed. I give the Bengals defensive coordinator credit for keeping two safeties back at all times with Mahomes forcing him into more short yardage situations. That said we see a lot of coordinators doing this and I wonder if runningbacks, who have been on the back burner lately, will come to the forefront again. I do think the corners and safeties have improved because they absolutely had to....too many good QB's shredding the D for awhile.

Mr and Baby Hedwig want to see the Eagles now. Do you have a link to a free stream?

Andy Reid said his heart couldn't stand much more stress and asked Patrick et all to quit making the games coming down to last seconds of the game.

Patrick kind of laughed and said they'd try to do better.

Yes Patrick there is a big part of Chiefs nation that would appreciate it too.

It was such a mix of awful and good yesterday: Losing Rice but seeing Kareem back, passing to Worthy but the early mistakes and of course the defense the stars of the game. I saw this and liked the angle. What would it be like to be this quick?

Yay, Ravens at .500! Is it too much to wish for them to win again next week?

Derrick Henry was awesome and Lamar is getting into his groove. And phew that Tucker made all of his kicks.
