2021 Russian Nationals Ladies SP

When Ted said "She's going to skate to 'Freedom House' by Johan Strauss," I was  until the music started. :duh:

At least he was right when he said, "That was simply awesome!" :)

Nugumanova is lovely. Good skate, but did she complete the 3R3R? Will beat Trusova in the SP.
She did not. 73.26

And you think that's a good thing considering how her performances have gone this season?
Oh, sometimes when she's mad, she nails everything. It's all about motivation. She just needs one more quad than Anna and Kamilla. Or two.

Trusova had to have gotten a < on something, or some big docking on TES on top of the ridiculous PCS. Her score still doesn't make sense.

I want Usacheva to learn the jumps so she had a fighting chance at the Olympic team and an Olympic medal. Honestly, I like her better than Valieva.

Nugu in final group! :encore:

Usacheva

-2a good
-meh split jump
-3z, seemed far back on her heel on landing but held
-3f-3t good
-Was that a mistake on the steps?

good competitor

Positive GOE on the step sequence where she almost fell right in front of the judges. Eteri magic at work!

The jumps were all solid, but she looked shaky with a number of the choreographic bits.

I won't say never, but that is unfortunately highly unlikely. :(

Okay, I think we can all just agree Tutberidze has a ton of fans on the judging panel. That Lutz, that was clearly off balance, got over a +3 GOE average and the 3+3 is the same.
Status quo. Same story at all the domestic events this season, too.
