Mana Kawabe (JPN) was added to SGP CAN today
How far down is Josefin to be considered?
OK I just read the post after yours and I saw the list.

Screw you, SCI. We needed Josefin added, not another Japanese skater!
I'm not actually sure Josefin was even an option. The rules for replacement state:
Alexia Paganini* - 192.88 (WD from SC)
I would imagine that France will reassign but it is worrisome for the seeded Russian skaters like Shcherbakova. BoiKoz, StepBuk, and ZagGuer as well as any other skaters who currently train in Russia (Ryabova?) and don't have an EU-approved vaccination.BTW, I know none of us know, but I'm asking anyway - if France doesn't let Russians enter, does that mean the spots will get reassigned, or we'll see a diminished field at France?
I'm worried about the skaters - but I'm just fed up of Russia not sending whatever evidence they were supposed to about their vaccine at this point. I do hope the skaters get some sort of benefit of the doubt, but I don't know how or where.I would imagine that France will reassign but it is worrisome for the seeded Russian skaters like Shcherbakova. Still need U.S. visas? Usacheva, Danielian, Samsonov, Boikova/Kozlovskii, Morozov (does she still have a U.S. passport?)/Bagin, Zagorski/Guerreiro.Russian figure skaters should soon receive US visas to participate in the Grand Prix stage, but this will have to be done outside Russia, President of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) Alexander Gorshkov told RIA Novosti.
The first stage of the Grand Prix will take place on October 22-24 in the American Las Vegas. At the moment, it is known that sports couples Alina Pepeleva / Roman Pleshkov, Evgenia Tarasova / Vladimir Morozov have US visas, and single athletes Alexandra Trusova and Ksenia Sinitsina.
I think it's been verified that Zagorski/Guerreiro are able to travel on their British & Australian passports to enter the US so there isn't a concern about them being able to enter the US for SkAm.Sept. 27th article:

Which really confuses me, unless there's been a policy change, because Misha Ge presumably had Chinese (dad) and Russian (mom) passports, yet the rules at the time were that when he checked into his ISU events, he had to use the passport he was competing under, with a valid visa in that passport. Getting those visas for an Uzbeki passport was a part-time job for him, and he missed multiple events where he couldn't get the (pricey) visa in time, including events where he didn't even need a visa using one of his other passports.I think it's been verified that Zagorski/Guerreiro are able to travel on their British & Australian passports to enter the US so there isn't a concern about them being able to enter the US for SkAm.
The exigencies of you-know-what may have made the ISU change its mind, at least for the time being.Which really confuses me, unless there's been a policy change, because Misha Ge presumably had Chinese (dad) and Russian (mom) passports, yet the rules at the time were that when he checked into his ISU events, he had to use the passport he was competing under, with a valid visa in that passport. He had to use the Uzbeki passport to check in at the ISU event but he didn't have to use it to travel to the country in question. I think the issue was getting visas using ANY of those passports to some countries takes more time than say someone traveling on a Schengen or an Australian passport to North America or EU nations.Which really confuses me, unless there's been a policy change, because Misha Ge presumably had Chinese (dad) and Russian (mom) passports, yet the rules at the time were that when he checked into his ISU events, he had to use the passport he was competing under, with a valid visa in that passport. He did, but then when he checked into the event, he had to show that he had a valid visa in the passport he showed to compete. There was one event where he couldn't attend, even though he didn't need a visa with a Chinese or Russian passport -- I can't remember which -- but he did with an Uzbeki passport. I wondered at the time why he couldn't just use the other passport, and the answer was that the ISU required him to show a visa in his Uzbeki passport. He had to use the Uzbeki passport to check in at the ISU event but he didn't have to use it to travel to the country in question. They seem to need something called an ESTA & a valid passport. I'm not sure if things are complicated by the fact that they could earn money while in the US.I don’t think Brits or Aussies need visas for tourist visits to the US?

Tiff and Jon have done Skate America twice before with just an ESTA to enter the USA using their non-Russian passports. They have never needed a US visa in their Russian passports. They have always received their prize money.Skate America awards monetary benefits to participants. My understanding is that in such a case, tourist visa does not work.
Not Canadians, which is why I'm not familiar with it.Everyone needs an @esta, not just Brits and Aussies.![]()

Leis are more of a Hawaiian thing than a Canadian thing.LEIS! Canadians definitely need @esta. I wonder what happened to her.
More Russian than Hawaiian, actually.Leis are more of a Hawaiian thing than a Canadian thing.
Was he really? I don't remember his heyday as a technical specialist too much because honestly, ice dance from 2007-2011 and then 12-14 was such a blur to me.Nothing to add other than he was also a shady AF technical specialist.
I give up.More Russian than Hawaiian, actually.
Uh oh. The Black Mark of Tarasova is gonna be on you now!I give up.
