2018 Olympics: Anyone going?

Are people having success via Cosport purchasing event tickets? Also, will those of you attending also attend some non-skating events?

No surprise here - Figure skating hottest ticket for Pyeongchang 2018 after 1st phase of sales: http://www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20170509000046
High-demand sessions are the opening and closing ceremonies, figure skating, short track, speed skating (all events except for the men's 10,000m), hockey (the men's semifinals, bronze medal game and final, and the women's final), curling finals and ski jumping finals.
PyeongChang said about 60 percent of tickets for high demand events and 80 percent of all other sessions were available for purchase during the first window.
Tickets may be purchased in real time during the online general sales period starting on Sept. 5. On-site sales will commence in October.
There will be 1.18 million tickets on sale, with 30 percent to be sold outside Korea.

Tickets have not been difficult to ascertain. Between Cosport individual ticket sales and now package deals, I have all skating events, plus an eclectic variety of other events (speed and short track skating, skiing, curling and ice hockey. I'm curious is others have finalized their travel and housing; if so, please share! I'm using Airbnb; my apartment is in Gangneung near public transportation. Has anyone managed to confirm non-public access to USA House or the P & G House?

At this point in time, neither USA house nor Canada house's locations have been finalized (heard directly from the COC)

Additionally, many sponsors won't be activating in Korea. Interest in Tokyo 2020 is huge, a lot of companies will be saving up to have a big presence there. Haven't heard about p&g though

According to the local Korean news,

http://news.kbs.co.kr/news/view.do?ncd=3493546

among the people who won the ticket lottery, only 25% actually bought the tickets. They did not say a separate number for figure skating.

Due to this, they are reopening the ticket website for the people who applied for the ticket lottery, 2 pm Korean time today (June 7) until 23:59 June 16. This time, they will actually sell the tickets. It's not lottery. First come first served. One should pay for the tickets right away.

(I posted this news at the other forum, too.)

ETD: As of June 7th 4:50 pm Korean time:
Men's Free, Men's Short, and Gala - Gone
Ladies' Free: Becoming rare.

For your information, the amount of tickets opened for Korean residents is 60% (1st application) x 70% (Korean residents) = 42% of the entire tickets so far.

Re-posting @Birdseye's question here in case anyone has advice:

I wonder about the exact meaning of the question.

1) If it is about which of two addresses one should use,

My understanding is it depends on which country the person is considered as a resident. This could be tricky sometimes.

2) If @Birdseye is asking different options than the official resellers,

https://tickets.pyeongchang2018.com

will open worldwide sales on October 1, 2017.

I think they really do expect that, actually! I was just reading an article about the Games in Skating magazine yesterday, and it basically said there's really not a lot of accommodation options in the immediate area of Pyeongchang/Gangneung (relative to possible demand). That's where the new 2-hour bullet train to Seoul comes in. I was a bit shocked.
@JasperBoy commuted to Vancouver from Victoria on transit -- bus -> ferry -> at least two busses, ie +5hrs each way.

So a 2-hour bullet train isn't that long by comparison.

Every day she had tickets for an event :) And IIRC, the only thing she had to pay for at the time was the bus to the ferry. The ferry was free for seniors, and Vancouver transit was free if you showed an event ticket. (Actually, if you flashed a piece of paper that looked vaguely like a ticket with a date, any date, on it to the driver.)

I know: that was epic.
