I don’t have all the details, but I understand that Sarah Tamura has recently had a new program choreographed by Mark Pillay. It will be interesting to see how Sarah develops this season now that the Olympics team pressure has been lifted.

Jessica Calalang & Brian Johnson announced their new partnership and said that Rohene Ward is choreographing their SP.

Jessica posted a boomerang clip of practicing the “funky” SP on her IG account, and Rohene said in a comment “Can’t wait to see you to start working on the long”. So I guess it’s two Rohene programs for Calalang/Johnson.

On my iPad and no idea how to paste the link:(

Pfund/Santillan's new LP is set to the Interstellar soundtrack by Hans Zimmer and choreographed by Alison Purkiss, as per this tweet from Josh.

Benoit Richaud choreographed in Egna, Italy earlier this month (competitive programs, I assume?) for Wakaba Higuchi, Serafima Sakhanovich and Daniel Grassl: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bhf1rvdnMHz/?taken-by=benoitrichaud

Thanks, everyone, for all the info!

Is Benoit a new choreographer for Wakaba? Who did the 007 program?

I don't think Zagitova's FS is going to be any more innovative. She seems to prefer more traditional choices... She's young and dynamic - give her some good rock or pop music. That would also hide her poor skating skills better than a more melodic piece of music.

I remember reading Zagitova saying that she just gets presented with her programs. I think she said they were already choreographed before she went touring after the Olympics, but she didn't know what they were and she was excited to be told. So keeping that in mind, it's certainly not Zagitova's responsibility that a fairly uncreative choice has been made.

P.S Daniil seems to be making 'hand mask' choreography in that photo which no doubt is some kind of hint. I wonder if the twist is that Alina is the phantom?

It doesn't necessarily mean anything. The mask is the iconic image of POTO after all.

It's not so black and white, as "Eteri and Daniil pick her programmes".... They have the final choice, true. It works kind of like this. When Zag and Med are sent to ballets and other performance arts, to get informed and to see what they like and how they feel about various themes, afterwards they are asked about what they saw and how it they feel about this or that.

Here is a video of them at the Ballet, and choosing from the Season Programme which ballets they will attend next, and Med is looking at "Carmen" and "Giselle" and then exclaiming "Oh! Anna Karenina!".... https://www.instagram.com/p/BiNGSpEDIXe/?hl=en&tagged=alinazagitova

Sondre Oddvoll Bøe is going back to Les Mis from some season ago for his FS. On his IG and blog he says he really struggled to find music this year, and that he feels the program still has more to give.

It's now confirmed that Rohene will choreograph their FS -- posted here: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/th...updates-part-viii.102846/page-17#post-5357824

ETA:
Sondre Boe posted his program music yesterday but has now disappeared from the Instagram story. Iirc was a male singer songwriter, choreo by Mark Pillay.
"You are the Reason" by Calum Scott (noted in his Instastory)
Sondre Odvoll Boe shared a clip of him working with Pillay on his SP back on March 30: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bg8sKhfli3c/?taken-by=sondreboe

Odvoll Boe wrote about his experience working with Pillay in his April 24th blog post: http://www.sondreboe.no/2018/04/24/jeg-gjorde-noe-helt-nytt/
Google translated excerpt:
Working with Mark was seriously awesome. We soon became good friends and had a lot of fun together throughout the process. Although the music is in the same genre that I used before, the program itself is very different. Mark has a completely different way of moving on than I have done before. He has been doing a lot of modern dance so I had to do some dance movements, which was a little different to what I used to.
