2017 Summer TV

Anyone watch the third season of 12 Monkeys?

My approach to the show is that I'm just going along for the ride. I question whether the writers/producers/directors actually have a master plan in terms of how events play out in all the different timelines. Or, if they are just wigging it.

And, would it make any more sense if all the episodes were watched consecutively?

I just realized last night that Devious Maids was not on this summer. I looked it up. It was cancelled after the last season. Well.............

The final season of Episodes is getting a rather "soft" release in the summer, largely because it's because it's been 2 1/2 years since Season 4 (and Matt LeBlanc already having moved on to Man with a Plan). At this point in the show, there's actually very little connecting Matt with Beverly/Sean (the show ending at Season 4 might have a better choice compared to what I've seen in the first 2 episodes thus far).

Is anyone still watching Twin Peaks The Return? There was a lot of payoff this last episode, but now it will be over next week. I hope everything gets tied up... I dont think i can handle another season of the plodding pace.

Does anyone else watch Flipping Out? Yea, I know, Jeff is kinda the biggest ass ever, but its my favorite train wreck show. :P Anyway .... .did Vanina really just quit??? Like ... for REAL quit, not just DRAMA quit??

Although I understand the decision to pair the show with Ballers on HBO, I think Issa Rae is missing out on potential Emmy Nominations by having her show Insecure air in late summer, which means the show likely will get lost in the shuffle come the following year's Emmy awards (Issa did however get a Golden Globe nomination last year).

I watched it. I have exactly one other fan on my entire Facebook and it seems everyone either gave up on it here or they were never interested in the first place. Super frustrating ending.

Yeah the ending was ... weird. There's supposed to be a book coming out in October so maybe that will tie up some of the loose ends. I'm irritated they didn't follow up more on what was going on with Audrey.
