Yay, a new tv thread! :cheer: :D Glad to see you back, @AliasJohnDoe. Sorry to hear your summer was a too-long stay in the hospital. Glad you're home and are feeling well enough to post again at FSU. We appreciate all the info you share with all us. Hope you're feeling better more and more each day now that you're back home again. :cheer2: :40beers:

Thanks for the well wishes everyone!!! For those who didn't know, I spent 5 weeks in the hospital dealing with 2 difficult lung operations. Home healing and getting better/stronger every day. It's great to know such great caring people here on FSU!!!

I had no idea! So happy to hear everything went well and you are in the road to recovery!

So excited for Outlander to finally be back on Sunday!! It's been far too long.

Also, I just binged Riverdale to refresh my memory - truly looking forward to the second season.

Now I just need to catch up on Jane the Virgin (I'm more than a season behind, oops) and then I should be all set for my fall shows.

AliasJohnDoe - continued recovery and thanks for your posts!
I have not heard of many of the shows listed above.

Can't wait for Outlander, but will wait a bit.
I cut the cord, aka got rid of cable. I have been doing all kinds of free trial periods with streaming services.
I plan to get Starz, but will wait till the last month - and just pay for one month and binge watch the show.

I saw previews for Survivor's new season. Yea.

I love how Russian Test Skates weekend always coincides with Paley Preview Weekend

I went today and checked out the Orville, Ghosted, Gifted, and the Dynasty reboot

The Orville should be enjoyable for Seth McFarlane fans. Ghosted was pretty funny but not something I'd check out regularly

I had mixed feelings about The Gifted. I liked the Mutants, particularly Polaris. The chemistry between the two kids is good. I am curious to see what happens next. Didn't like the random attempts at humor. I thought the chemistry between the parents was forced.

Dynasty certainly wasn't short on bitchiness or cat fights and there were plenty of meme worthy moments. And the Sammy Jo introduction got a great response. But it isn't addictive like the original. On the plus side, Grant Show is still hot

Just watched the Outlander premiere (the Starz app apparently uploaded it at midnight, and I still have the password from my former boss lol)...I may have cried a few times.
It's so good! Really, the episode is excellent. I can't wait for the rest of the season. :cheer:
Just finished watching it and can't wait to see the rest. I feel this season is gonna be great, better than the last. They had lost me a bit while in France.

The show never seemed comfortable when set in France. The sets were beautiful and the costumes were spectacular, but the characters never seemed right there- everything came back together when the show returned to Scotland. Which is kind of how the book felt as well for me, so maybe it's supposed to feel that way a bit? But ITA, I think this season is going to be the best one yet! I can't wait to see it all.

Who is this announcer on the Emmy show? She is TERRIBLE. I will never complain about skating arena announcers.
