#2 KAETLYN OSMOND : CANADA'S SWEETHEART

And she CRUSHED her personal best by 10 points!!

Wonderful skate. I'd have had her first in PCS, but second is better than nothing! Congrats to her team too - I really hope more people will start going to Ravi now, and I hope she sticks with Jeff doing at least one of her programs each year.

Can someone post the teddy bear (or whatever they are) ceremony that's not geoblocked?

She was amazing. I personally would have given her the silver over Zagitova! Congrats to beautiful Kaetlyn and to Canada. I think the best is still ahead for this extraordinary young lady! No matter what she is already an Olympic Gold, Olympic Silver, and Olympic Bronze medalist, making her the most decorated Olympian and greatest Olympic female skater since Witt, that is a fact.

Best program of the night! Would have loved if she had gotten the PCS she deserves (or rather, that the two Russian had gotten lower PCS) and had gotten a shot at silver or even gold but I'm thrilled for her! She put out two fantastic skates!

Kaetlyn was great. She really deserved AND earned that medal. I did not believe in her in the FS but she proved me wrong. Thought her long program was great, whereas I hated her SP.

It's a shame about the PCS and GOE inflation the Russians get. In a different world it should have been a more fair fight.

Probably the best short program and free skate combined ever by a Canadian woman at an Olympics (yes, in some respects, even better than Elizabeth Manley).

Now here's food for thought...

1st place ordinals from: Canada and China

4th place ordinals from.....
....OAR and France

Rewatching Kaetlyn again and she was so wonderful. I had initially thought she was robbed of the silver ahead of the ridiculously overmarked Alina Zagitova, but now I am thinking she might have even deserved the gold. That she deserved silver over Zagitova is an easy call, and something I think we can all agree on. However on the rewatch I see there are possibly valid argument for her to have maybe even beaten Medvedeva for the gold. At the very least I think she deserved the win by the long program phase by a narrow margin over Medvedeva on rewatch.

Either way her performances and what she went through to deliver them, particularly with her own history of inconsistency, losing her Canadian title to Daleman, and coming off the great performances of Miyahara and Zagitova right before her putting immense pressure to stay in the medal hunt, was nothing short of remarkable.

Very happy for her! Her jump height/technique/distance is unmatched and her edging and artistry were beautiful! Congrats to her![/QUOTE/)

My fave skates last night 1 Osmond 2 Med 3 Satoko 4 Zag 5 Loena from Belgium.
Kaetlyn should be on instructional videos for gorgeous technique.
