I hadn't noticed that. But they are not a high level team, and, also, Davis/Smolkin are now using another Offspring song instead of Destiny's Child.

. By now, I am starting to regret that Fournier-Beaudry/Cizeron were not able to use Depeche Mode for their RD, no matter how inappropriate some thought it was for the theme and their choreo. At least it was different, but now they are just one of the teams that are using 'Vogue'.

I refuse to believe those are the real costumes for Gilles/Poirier. The program itself has more potential than most that I have seen so far but those costumes are not it.

I didn't realize (or forgot) Vogue was permitted for the 80s RD, but I disagree that it feels like an 80s tune, the song reflects early 90s Madonna and her aesthetic of that era. But the whole thing just shows how stupid the decade RDs are. If the ISU wants to go for viral bait, a disco theme, a hip hop theme, a twist theme, a line dance theme, etc would make much more sense. And maybe a chicken dance theme for good measure.

So apparently, Guignard/Fabbri's answer to the question of how to make show me the meaning of being lonely meet the fast tempo requirement is to speed it up by quite a lot. It was jarring and I have no idea who thought it was a good idea, especially when the Everybody section is actually good.

On a brighter note, I personally love both of Miura/Kihara's programs and think they can create an epic moment at the Olympics if they are the final skaters in the FS.

That is the flamenco. They said it would be a contemporary flamenco and the clip they posted had Paint it Black playing.

No, the clip had flamenco music playing that may have been a flamenco version of Paint it Black, but the Roman Djawadi Paint It Black version is not it. I listened to it, and it sounds different.

I didn’t say it was that exact version, just that Paint it Black was in the clip so we knew it wasn’t a traditional flamenco piece. I had to look up the artist’s name this morning.

Okay, I listened again, and the beginning of the music in that clip Najarro and Chock posted is actually from this piece by Djawadi, but the rest of it isn't - it's more flamenco. So we don't know whether they are not using that part of the music after all or they just didn't reveal all of it yet.

Well, goodness knows I'm tired of retreads ... but I didn't think that Lady Gaga program was working. And Alysa knows how to create a moment with this program. I saw non-skating fans enjoying her Worlds performance when it hit social media; if she skates well she can take that moment and amplify it at the Olympics.

I thought Gaga had some potential with more mileage. I really hated her MacArthur program so this is disappointing.
Yes, it's allowed. And this cover of American Woman got an insane amount of airplay in the 90s on the radio and MTV so it feels very much of the era. I literally switched the station every time it came on which was a lot cuz I hated this song.
