Started strong, but lost a little steam going into the jumps of the second half of the program. Her overall presentation, and skating style are very enjoyable.

4 dance groups and 2 ladies groups in, little milly aged 3 has taken to balancing chocolate buttons on her eyes and now creating a very deliberate popcorn artwork on her sequin skirt.
For a 3 year old and 1 year old, I'm darn proud of their patience and endurance so far.

but her skate does not have half the impact of Josefine's or Julia Sauter's.

It is okay of course that her great jumps are rewarded. But not that the rest is not awarded enough.

I think it made them feel more secure picking in when younger and now it's too late to change.

The skating quality is not quite there, but she's a competitor, and she muscled through the jumps as best she could.

120.76 = 2nd Place
174.49 = 1st Place

Taught bad teknik from the very beginning, I suppose.

The first 3 jumping passes were great, then she let it go a little bit but not too bad for her first Euros. Wish she skated much bigger though. Her (lack of) speed comes across much better live than on tv.

That music was way too big for that little girl. She doesn’t have to go as young and twee as some of the Japanese teenagers but I hope she gets a more personal program next year. Very talented.

Well, look at that. Total green across the board for Karhunen. Wonderful jumps, she has. Aha, commentators making a comparison to Levito ... just as someone up thread mentioned. Are they lurking at FSU?

I think it is one of the best programs out there - her versatiliy in skating is great - full body movement, changing direction, using the upper body different to the lower body, pointed toes

if only the dreaded rotation was not an issue....

A solid skate for Olga, and a great performance to this version of Nothing Else Matters. I particularly liked the choreography sequence, and the use of the music in that element.
