I meant “fake” as in unintended, not fake as in false/wrong. Clearly, FB/C have addressed it by being farther from the Boards and, critically, skating diagonally instead of straight across the short axis.It wasn't a "fake" call - the rink in Helsinki isn't as wide as the ones in Angers or here, that's what made the difference in the opening choreo step.
That lift was great. But on the whole, F-B/C were better. I'm no fan, but they just were.![]()
Yes, I agree, they did address it and that's good. Diagonally moving across the ice instead of straight across the short axis is a suggestion I made after Finlandia and I noticed they stayed further away from the boards at the end of the opening choreo than they had at either GPdF or Finlandia so as to avoid any temptation for the panel to give them any sort of call.I meant “fake” as in unintended, not fake as in false/wrong. Any idea what the element was?On the Protocol for Zingas/kolesnik, the -2 was for an illegal element. Kind of crazy that it’s called on their 5th competition of the season?
and there won't be media outrage or calls for an investigation into the judging.Especially since the TC at BOTH of their GPs is a member of the IDTC (David Molina FRA at CoC & Shawn Rettstatt USA at Finlandia).I think it's lousy that no one (including USFS monitors) told Z/K that move was illegal until now. But Z/K aren't contending for an Oly medal, aren't a big name, so they aren't likely to pitch a fit, just go back to the rink and rework that part of the program.

Well I AM pissed on behalf of Z/K, that is not new choreo in the opening transition.Curious if there will be the same outrage at the tech panel calling things that other tech panels did not call, or whether nobody really cares as long as their favored team isn't affected. Betting on the secondand there won't be media outrage or calls for an investigation into the judging.
2 of the 3 are the same, but controller is differentAlso same panel as kinoshita where they did the same element.
Retstatt was the controller in Finland where they didn't get that deduction. Strange that they've went all season without that deduction.2 of the 3 are the same, but controller is different
Well as someone who was quite vocal during Finlandia I am just here to let you and anyone else know I am not watching the GPF. Taking a break. Just breezing through here to see the resultsCurious if there will be the same outrage at the tech panel calling things that other tech panels did not call, or whether nobody really cares as long as their favored team isn't affected. I would say that Z/K and R/A have the best programs and expression of the theme in this group.I actually thought Z/K deserved to be somewhere around 3rd. Which only teaches us about my general opinion of this RD event.
Hyperbolic statements like They DO. NOT. MOVE. when they clearly are moving is bizarre. Is it too much to ask to add they do not move as much as other teams, as much as I expect for that GOE, I mean anything really.Evan definitely checked the second set of turns but the twizzles are getting even worse. I don't care if they achieve level 4. The GOE is insane. They DO. NOT. MOVE.
I think that's one of the primary reasons that both of these teams made the GP Final. If you're not one of the teams at the very top, you get there with superior packaging and interpretation.I would say that Z/K and R/A have the best programs and expression of the theme in this group.
