Skate to Milano OWG Qualifier - Beijing CHN - Men's SP & FS

Although born and raised in Russia, he represents Armenia, which does not use the Cyrillic alphabet. His name in Armenian is Սիմոն (pronounced See-mon), not Семён.
Interesting 'cause when I googled of course it just showed up as Семён!

Anyone starting a prayer circle for Donovan? 🕯️🕯️🕯️ Of all the men competing I want him to get a spot the most
Ehhhh. He's already been to the Olympics. While it would be nice, there are other guys who haven't ever been that I'd like to see get the spots.

3A< - cautious entry
Change Foot Camel Spin 4
Flying Sit Spin 4

3Lz+3T - step out

The Axel was stalked, and cautious but he got it done. Overall a pleasant skater to watch, and a solid technical skate.

70.31 = 5th Place

Well, I thought Li skated nicely but Mark is telling us that the 3A has been reviewed and given << by the tech panel, so his TES is going to drop quite a bit and I think he's going to wind up behind Davide.

Flying Camel Spin 3 (4 after review) - loss of speed

Sloppy performance probably reflecting lack of training time to do injury.

69.35 = 8th Place

Well, that was okay-ish from Ed. According to Mark he's been injured most of the summer. He'll probably still get a ticket to the Olympics for the TE since Great Britain has enough points to get one of the additional athlete quota spots.

yeah apparently he couldn't jump most of the summer so honestly pretty good job all things considered

That was a very solid technical skate for Hyungyeom, and a unique music choice. Not sure the program quite worked for him, but I want to see it more to see how it develops.

74.69 = 3rd Place

Well, that was decent enough from Hyungyeom, but I preferred Pitot. There was a lot of over-emoting happening and this cello piece was grating. Ted's saying that the 4t and 3a both got rotation calls.
