My thoughts exactly!which was a very sexual song to begin a memorial
Especially since he's not actually skating.I’m kind of annoyed with this Scott hype.
Not very inclusive. This very Christian prayer is also very inappropriate.
Weird juxtaposition for sure! But I love that prayer immediately followed by Imagine.
Not very inclusive.
I'm inclined to agree. I'm a Christian, but that prayer felt wrong for that audience and that occasion.I’m not going to snark during any of this but an ecumenical multi faith prayer would have been appropriate considering the likelihood that many of the victims would have been of different faiths or of none.
no there was no intro but I recognized most of the people out thereDid they announce anything about who is skating now? I recognize some of them but not all.
One is inclusive and one is not.So, it's okay to have a performance to a song like "Imagine" but not to have a Christian prayer?
Gotta love FSU for that double standard.
Don't get me wrong, I'd ax "Imagine" too.One is inclusive and one is not.
I loathe "Imagine" and find it actually more offensive than a Christian prayer, to be honest. And I'd feel the same if it was prayer from any other religion. "Imagine" is just generic, idealistic crap that lacks true conviction of belief and faith. I appreciate the prayer because it comes from a place of real faith. The same would be true of any other religious prayer.Don't get me wrong, I'd ax "Imagine" too. It's a ridiculous song and unworthy of the reverence in which it's held.
