The problem with them skating to Take Five is that all it really does is remind me of how much I hate Take Five.

Twizzles are kind of coming more and more slow each season, lucky the olympics are next year! but contrary their level of execution and performance is growing and getting better.

I love this song and it suits them, the one foot step sequence to the well known Take Five part works wonderful. Madison knows how to put here and there those touches during elements, some hand here, some step there to the bit, fabulous.

Not a fan of the vocals part. They show why they are two time world champions and why keep competing. Way much better than Skate America and they are ready for the Grand Prix Final.

I like the middle of the program the best, with the traditional Take Five and I think having that all the way through would save this mess.

But again, the elements performed as they are do not deserve these massive GOE no matter which way it’s looked at. They crawl, she struggles to hold edges, and they get +4 for it time and time again. And watch how they get NO power from their crossovers over any kind of edgework throughout the program. Probably the least ice coverage of the entire group.

And I hate, hate, hate the end of the program. Cheesy.

now I remember the program. Lots of potential using a jazz program - at SA I felt they missed so many opportunities, skating on square timing. Taking a few more liberties here in the beginning, and filling out the space in the music.

Take Five with lyrics is like Aranjuez with lyrics: just no.

Last music cut was jarring, but I can see where this is going.

I thought, when I heard the music announcement for this FD, that Take Five might work. They're both great dancers, and it's been long enough since Take Five was overused.

But, I dunno. I feel like it would suit Hubble & Donohue's dynamic better. I know that's not a necessary comparison, but a bit more sexy & sultry interplay to go between the jazzy steps wouldn't hurt the overall dynamic.

On Tuesday, my cat got angry kitty calm down drugs and was high as a kite for the rest of the night. At one point, he was like leaning to the side as he sat.
