Let's Twist Again by Chubby Checker, Appell, Dave & Mann, Kal

What is Barbken Dollhouse by Karl Hugo?? I can't find it on Google or YouTube. I was interested to see that they have Karl Hugo music in the RD and FD and wanted to look up the RD music.

It sounds like something from the Barbie movie lol.

Juulia Turkkila/Matthias Versluis (FIN)
RD: "I Got You (I Feel Good)" by James Brown plus a jive song
FD: "La Rubia Mireya" (Argentine tango)

Big age difference teams should avoid schmoopy romance imo, but these people thought Cats was a good idea so in comparison it's fine I guess.

Lol I’m just talking about the number one war horse aspect

Doing Romeo and Juliet is like walking into an ice cream store with 10 million flavors and say can I have vanilla

It’s like what are you gonna do for this program that the 17 million skaters before you havent

Lol

Maybe they can make a new version. Like Guarise playing Juliet's father.;)

Blaasova/Blaas
RD
Jailhouse Rock by Elvis Presley
Proud Mary by Tina Turner
Sex Machine by James Brown
Disco Inferno by The Trammps
Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen

A true "F-U" to the ISU and their vague ass "dance party" theme and the nonsensical dance rules by choosing 5 different decades of music and styles of dance and surely going to blend into one big generic whole. :respec:

Actually, in a recent interview, Shaun Rettstatt stated that he wanted people to do different decades in one RD

A late 70s disco/early 80s electro pop mix could make sense in 2 minutes and 45 seconds as that's how pop music evolved. Five decades in vastly different styles in the same amount of time is just asking for schizophrenic chaos, imo.

Turns out Lilah half announced their music in that insta post:

Lilah Fear / Lewis Gibson (GBR)
RD: Le Freak (Chic) / Superstition (Stevie Wonder)

Phebe Bekker / James Hernandez (GBR)
RD: Beatles medley - Get Back / Twist and Shout (remix) / Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band / five seconds of something else

Source: BIS Qualifier

Why do Phebe and James love music that will get copyright strikes on YouTube? :drama:

We also have a Rocky Horror / Meatloaf mash up….

I was just listening to Max Richter's version of Four Seasons the other day and thinking it would be nice if someone skated to it again. I hope the middle piece blends well because Four Seasons is easily my favourite classical composition.

The last couple of seconds are the na na na nas from Hey Jude. :)

So far YouTube hasn't axed the video for copyright so watch it while you still can!

On paper it looks that way, but it looked a little different on the ice. Less flashy than their usual.

Or maybe I just feel that way because there were no pushups!
It's because they have a very extended Halo section which is slower and in my opinion doesn't play to any of their strengths (I won't say my exact thoughts but they were something like 😬)

So finger 🫶s in the kiss-n-cry doesn't suffice and they need to do arm 🫶s as "choreography?" :scream:
At the rate they're going, I'm 💯% convinced they're giving us Taylor Swift for the RD next season...

Yes, but the twist is going to be the ISU assigns the waltz rhythm you've been longing for the RD. :p

I saw F/G's program earlier on X/Twitter and my comment was that even they seem bored with doing the same essential program for what seems like 6 seasons straight.
