Ghilardi/Ambrosini - I have less confidence in them bringing anything new to the table with that music selection.

I mean why? Just why? Were the 10,846 skaters renditions they’ve sat through the last 10 years and they were like you know what I think we can do better than the previous 10,000 skaters?

For real …any choreographer that’s presented with that should have the skaters banned and make sure that it’s court ordered and any choreographer that suggests it should be sent to fraud department.

For me, this is the goat of warhorses ?

Isabeau Levito (USA)
SP: Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky
FS: "Liebestraum (Reve d'Amour)" by Liszt
Choreographers: Julia Kuznetsova, Otar Japaridze
(Hat tip to @AnythingGOE)

I'm on board with "Swan Lake," but "Liebestraum" always brings me back to my favorite movie, "All About Eve," and Bette Davis' "I detest cheap sentiment" line.

The spirit of Ashley Wagner's ponytail whips you for such heresy! :p

Yeah. I think that they will be lovely, but I wish she would try something new. She's certainly not going to try something new in an Olympic season, so who knows when we will see her try again. I wonder if her experience with the snake program scared her. Beyond the music, I'm more disappointed - but not at all surprised - by the choreographers. I really, really wish she would branch out and try someone and something new.

"Liebestraum...again."

Swan Lake makes me think of the "Funny Girl" film:

"Kin't you see when you look on me
What.a lovely creature is a schwan?"
