Jason needs to retire now.

Or... at least be judged on what he's actually putting on the ice. Max should be going to worlds, not Jason. Jason is no longer a safeguard for USFS and may even be a liability. Max -- and Camden -- are on an upswing and are the ones that should be given more opportunities.

I'm still mad!
I don’t know what they are trying to say/accomplish with the brown
ridiculousness!!! Get to a point in your career where jumps are meaningless and judges just love you?

He had no such excuse last season when 4CC started nine days later and was in the US.
No, he just didn't want to go, and he has a better opportunity to gain something from Art on Ice than from Four Continents. I wish he was going, and that the event had the same depth as Europeans because I'll be watching it in the middle of the night, but it doesn't make sense for Malinin to go.

Ilia - like his grit and energy.

Brown - scoring was a JOKE. truly disgraceful the way he was showered with huge GOEs on super sketchy elements. Should have been 4th.

Camden - thrilled for his medal but robbed of silver.

Max - robbed of bronze.

Jimmy Ma - thrilled for him.

Daniel Samohin - so cute and glad to see him with a decent skate.

Mindra - def champion of the audience. Get your jumps dude!!!

I'm so glad there's a pewter medal so that Naumov can at least get his deserved accolades.
It’s a repeat of last year though. Woo hoo. I’m sure that’s how he felt the second his placement came up.

I mean I know even if the placements were reversed, Jason would be going to Worlds anyways. But the scoring is just insanity.

Oh, Jason, this extended bows and hopping around like you really deserve the silver is p*ssing me off.
Yes, I love him but when you are gifted a silver just bow and get on the podium.

Certain skaters have worn out their welcome with me and I wish they would retire but that’s not happening. And it’s not even the skater’s fault, it’s the judges. I would have been perfectly fine with Jason being 4th.

True. I couldn't remember if he was 3rd or 4th and I was too lazy to look it up.

Weren't you crowing something about "hope dies last" or similar to me earlier this thread?
LOL! Well, wishing and hoping aren't quite the same thing. I know better than to hope for that.

This shouldn’t be a surprise. The judges have always scored the sentimental favorites highly:
, Ryan Bradley 2011
Crisny 2009, 2012,
some other lower ranked skaters

Never let it be said that the man lacks chutzpah. I just wish the USFS would give him a pass on the Worlds assignment.
Brown should be named to the Worlds team - he's got the pedigree - with a monitoring session or two scheduled to make sure things are coming along. If he gets to where he was last year than he should go to Worlds because it's a guaranteed top 10 finish. If he's not it gets difficult because the rest of the guys don't have the track record. Pulkinen has been to Worlds once, and was amazing, but how much practice time does he have between now & Worlds with going to Four Continents tomorrow, and then with school for the next couple months. Neither Torgashev, Naumov, or Hiwatashi have the consistency to be counted on for a top 10 finish.
