- Due to injuries and illnesses, you did not have many starts this season, nevertheless, you managed to qualify for the upcoming Worlds. Surely, you had to "turn on" every force - experience and motivation, everything that is possible ...
Nikita: That's right. This season has been tough for us. We were very worried that we were losing a lot of time, but we could not do anything about it, except to heal the injuries, all the diseases ... But this is life. This did not happen on purpose and, fortunately, now everything is back to normal.
Victoria: At the very beginning of the season I had a problem with my knee, and I could not combine preparation for the competition and treatment. It was useless. I gathered my strengths to perform at the first competition, but I was able to skate only a rhythm dance, because the pain was too strong, I could not stand it, although I am a very patient person.
After that competition, I started the treatment: every day I went to exercise therapy, procedures, pumped my knee, and stopped doing it just a couple of weeks ago. It's OK now. It is right that I did it right and calmly.
All this time Nikita and I continued to train, but I not at full, without the usual loads. And during this period Nikita helped me a lot, morally supported me, said: "Vika, everything is fine, come on, come on, do it slowly."
- And when things seemed to be back to normal, you suddenly got c19. You even ended up in the hospital. Was it all that serious?
Victoria: I got very sick. It was very bad. High temperature, with all the consequences. At first I thought it would pass, I’ll lie down at home, I’ll be cured. But when I realized that everything was much more serious, I called Nikita, Alexander Vyacheslavovich (Zhulin). They immediately said: "Call an ambulance," because my hands were already shaking, I was shaking so ... It was very scary: I was alone at home, I understand that I am losing control. God forbid, and no one will be able help.
For the first time in my life I got to the hospital. I spent six days there. Then I spent two weeks at home, recovering.
- Was it hard to go out on the ice after an illness? Skaters who had c19 said that at first it was difficult even to skate, not just to try elements; there was a fear that nothing could be done.
Victoria: I was not afraid of that. The only thing was severe dizziness when I was spinning. My head began to spin, my legs failed a little. But after 2-3 weeks it passed.
