She’s literally retired; he gains nothing by criticizing her in the media. He was actually pretty polite in his statements when she retired, but I see he’s back up to his old tricks.

Trankov has no tricks, maybe that's one of his "problems in a conversation", he just says whatever comes to mind at this moment. His comments were harsh, but not untrue.... and Stolbova is not his only "victim"... But he is harmless overall...

When any other Russians hide their opinion? If they are asked they will answer what they think. Sometimes this seems really rude.

I'm not a Trankov fan at all but he has the right not to like Stolbova as she has the right not to like him.A lot of people don't like either anyway. It's not that they're hiding it either. I prefer them to some skaters who use their entourage to spread their opinions about others while they act magnanimous on camera.

Maybe (always picking on the girls) Mr. Tough Guy should grow a set and get over himself, already. His bashing Stolbova fixation has long since expired. Nothing is refreshing about that.

He was asked why he is not invited to work in his home region Perm. His answer was `Because Stolbova's new project was a failure and I predicted it'. He did not predict anything here, he stated the obvious, which was obvious to 99.9% of the FSU, which was obvious to me, and, frankly, to everyone except for TAT.

Oh, and that makes you a specialist who should be employed by Perm, of course.

That was a lovely interview with Zagorski. She comes across very well, considered and likeable. It’s good to see that she has some Irish blood, not enough Irish skaters out there. It would be nice to see an Irish dance theme programme again (I loved Rika Hongo’s Riverdance).

I forgot about the split and reunification with Miart, she’s very gracious to hope that he is happy. I was happy to se them bounce back at his years Russian Nats and skate well at Euro’s. It sounds like they were well prepared for Worlds.

To be honest, I don’t think Trankov’s comment from this particular interview is outrageously shady. If this was an isolated incident, I would give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was just frustrated that he couldn’t get a job in his hometown of Perm. However, he has made several other shady comments about Stolbova in the past few years, and it all adds up to give me the impression that he has some grudge against her.
I don’t know what happened between them, and it’s frankly none of my business. I don’t want to start rumors about some imaginary vendetta. From what I heard, they’re both very stubborn people who didn’t mix well on the ice. Neither of them has ever claimed to be an angel, and that’s okay. I just think Max is being a bit petty right now. At this point, he has no reason to even be in contact with her, let alone analyze her choices in her career.

I didn’t find their programs weak. Especially not the ‘I am survivor’ program. I hate Zhulin’s programs because it is often very heavy, serious, often even quite depressing music. Since Z/G left Zhulin, their programs are so much better! I am survivor is dramatic, but not heavy and depressing.

Yeah, I don't feel like I have seen the Survivor program very many times so I would be happy to see it again.

Cannot say the same for the RD, but I feel like there were changes made at the end of the season that I've now blocked out? Russian Nationals and Europeans seem like so long ago.

I like heavy depressing programs Ideally, there will be a nice mix, some fun and light programs, some drama. What I hate is when there is a push that forces all teams to go in one direction or the other. Let the teams figure it out themselves!

The "Survivor" FD gets an audience going though, so I can see why they're keeping it.
