You can post and repost all the information you seem to spend so much time looking for online from now until eternity. That does not make it fact. Anyone can write that stuff.
and yet you post "but from what I have heard from more than one person"....... :D

I promised myself to stay away from this and not to comment, but this trendcelebsnow.com website is

Let’s ask @taz'smum if she is also a mom of a millionaire then

Message from Tutberidze and coaching staff to George Kunitsa.

"По совместному решению Георгий Куница после окончания сезона перешёл в пары и переехал для тренировочного процесса в Петербург. Желаем Георгию состояться в спорте. Мы будем следить за твоими достижениями и болеть за тебя."

"By mutual agreement, George Kunitsa at the end of this season transferred to pair skating and moved to St. Petersburg for the training process. We wish to Georgy big accomplishments in sports. We will follow your progress/accomplishments and will cheer for you."

@taz'smum, I guess it’s time to ask Tiff to buy you that luxury house in Bali for your retirement!

Of course I am, isn't every figure skater a millionaire?

Already bought, along with a nice pink villa in Nice.

alexei.yagudin: "Washing/cleaning/sweeping/cooking is my speciality now! Call me... 💪"

His followers keep laughing and repeating: "Lyosha can do anything!"

Alina Zagitova makes the May 2020 cover of COSMOPOLITAN (russian edition) and an interview.
The title of the interview "I no longer owe anything to anyone" .... and it is not about her parents or her coaching team... :-)

translation verbatim: "when there is nothing to do, might as well stand on your head". (stand on your head is also used figuratively for acting nutty)
meaning: "when bored, you can afford to be crazy/nutty"

Alexandra Stepanova - An invitation to exercise more... :-)

Viktoria Sinitsina - "follow me, exercise" oooh, la, la... :-)

Pluchenko's family....... as usual, no words.....

I laughed at it so hard!I have seen such unusual, surprising, astounding things from him over the years....On that day he gave other video for his fans, it's totally different https://www.instagram.com/p/B-jlvNgK135/ ballet, fun, cuteness.

Maybe that isn't well-known information Plushenko's Nijinsky was choreographed by Smekalov. That was his first work for skaters. This is a german documentary how they work together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2841lVtRMQ
Unfortunately the sound is bad but really interesting. We can see the young Daisuke, Liedemann, Joubert..so it's really interesting. I just hope Mr Mishin won't change the choreography of Liza's program , because the Nijinsky original was better for me as the famous variant.
the original https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbjJufbHXpE - 03~04 Trophee Lalique LP_ Tribute to Nijinski + interview (abc) - and the abc commentators were amased by him in all aspects. And they forgot it in 2010 :D

Sinitsina and Stepanova, looked like they were doing strip teases rather than exercising LOL. Girls, please you are very attractive no need to....

I'd say they are still a bit more modest than the "ideal dancer" girl in Flashdance... :-)

Interview with Tamara Moskvina on the website of the Russian Figure Skating Federation:

She talks about:
  • the cancellation of Worlds in March (she expected that it would happen. Boikova/Kozlovskii were in a very good shape and were disappointed, but she tried to explain to them that there are bigger things than skating)
  • how to deal with the situation and gives advice (set yourself goals, don't get upset about what already happened, enjoy the spring
  • being in touch constantly with her skaters
  • coming back after that break is like coming back after an injury, it can take quite long as skating has become so complex
  • the conditions for training might not be as good as they were before (less financial support for example) but then you need to adapt and make the best out of what you have and again, the skaters are still privileged compared to many other people who might lose their jobs

I think coaches like Moskvina and Mishin are very well suited to dealing with this as they have coached through both very hard and prosperous times. Both those coaches made it work and continued through events like the fall of the Soviet Union, so I think they know they can deal with this too.
Definitely. This is not their first rodeo. Tough as nails, both.

She’s the best! All hail the tiny boss!

On Wednesday, April 8, at 19:00 Paris time, Russian culture buffs will be able to watch online the epic Ilia Averbukh's 'Romeo and Juliet' ice-skating show that was staged at one of the most famous venues in Europe, the Italian Arena di Verona, as part of 'Russian Seasons' in Italy.

'To me, the staging of 'Romeo and Juliet' was a confirmation that we have reached a fundamentally new level in the production of ice shows. And indeed, this is a show that meets the highest international standards. We succeeded in creating a performance that, in terms of its scale, bold visual and scenographic solutions, is significantly superior to everything that was created before,' remarks Ilia Averbukh.

'Romeo and Juliet on Ice' features the most celebrated Russian ice-skaters; thus, the main parts are performed by six Olympic champions at once, including Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov, Alexei Yagudin and Roman Kostomarov. Olympic champions, five-time European champions, two-time World champions Tatiana Totmianina and Maxim Marinin will star as Juliet and Romeo. The production will employ the compositions by Prokofiev, Mozart, Bach, Mendelssohn alongside original scores penned by the leading composer of Russian musicals Roman Ignatyev.

Final episode of Liza Tuktamysheva and Yuri Smekalov project + interviews
The final episode of the MAD Lab Instagram-series! The version with English subtitles can be seen on our YouTube channel (the link is in the profile header). A month ago no one could predict that we would be facing such a challenge as social distancing. 10 days ago we had no idea that choreographing a new free skate program for the World and European champion, Liza Tuktamysheva, could evolve into an online laboratory MAD Lab.

We planned on cooperating with the Hotel Astoria, and a brand Saint-Tokyo. But the situation was getting more and more severe with each passing day, so we had to change our plans. It all led to Liza, choreographer Yuri Smekalove and composer Bhima Yunusov rehearsing from home.

At first time we started working on the choreography with you. And the experience of co-creating is the biggest discovery and victory of the project. But this is just a beginning for MAD Lab!

It would make sense...Japan is in recovery stage while in Canada even with the lockdowns cases are soaring...They could issue a no fly edict at any point and it is possible EM might have to quarantine upon arrival for safety. At least this way she may be out of quarantine and allowed to practice when the time arrives.
Is that really worth putting lives at risk, by potentially carrying the virus into a nation that was “in recovery” for a show which is more than likely not to take place. Am also aware that parts of Japan have now declared a state of emergency which highlights how irresponsible her trip was

She had finished her quarantine b4 she left. She was not carrying the virus.

You are not wondering...You are accusing a young girl. Her home is not Canada...it is Russia. Japan is her next committment she has made and as of yet it has not been cancelled. That is being responsible to one's committments. Unless the gig is cancelled she is where she needs to be next. If it does get cancelled it would make sense that she return to Russia where her life and family and friends are until it is safe to continue her career.
She is an adult, it’s responsible for people who are observing lock down rules to question the wisdom of her making a trip from a continent where cases are soaring to an area which days after she arrived went into a state of emergency. They cancelled the Olympics in Japan so therefore it’s reasonable to think that shows would be cancelled. Also as a role model to many she should be conscious of how her actions may encourage others to flout the measures in place not just in Canada or Japan but all over the world which will continue the spread of a horrible disease

All flights in and out of Russia were cancelled on April 4, so Medvedeva cannot return to Russia any time soon. The government is offering social assistance to those stranded in other places in the world.

Justifying Medvedeva's actions by saying she is a young girl and has commitments is ridiculous. Do you see anyone else travelling to Japan or anywhere else for shows?
