I couldn't find a thread on this so here goes. Now that the number has been whittled down to 10 and 2 will be going home tonight most of the karaoke singers are gone. Here are the iTunes results:

8 Katie
12 Ricky
18 Rose
(These 4 have been my favs from the start. Katie for one even outsang Adele!)

Shane & Joana didn't chart in the top 100 but I'm hoping the ones going home will be Shane & Kat. He has a good voice but he doesn't know how to use it & his stage presence is horrendous. I'm not a fan of Kat's breathy voice at all.

I think it's funny that Rose charted #18 with Blake's song & he just charted #19. But last night 6 of the ten had their worst night (IMO). I've been liking Hello Sunday but they were pitchy & shrill last night.
 
I forgot to add that Shane actually though he had the swag to sing Billy Ocean's Caribbean Queen. As expected it was horrible.
 
It sounded like something was wrong with the sound during Shane’s performance. He sounded absolutely terrible.
 
I think last night's elimination was ok. I would have rather seen Kat go home with Shane but Joana was my next choice anyway. The next elimination will be brutal. I still don't know who I want to win.
 
I really don't care who wins this season because they are just not good. It gets worse and worse every season or maybe I'm bored with this show or I am getting picky regarding who is is good since I have been watching singing competitions since the first season of American Idol.
 
It’s reminding me more and more of Beverly’s season where a bunch of veterans will duke it out.

  • Katie’s done what she needed to do and I’m sure her club performance price just went up by a lot.
  • Rose, as good as she is, might be destined for backup duties. Maybe Paul Mirkovich or Ray Chew might be interested. She’d be a huge improvement over current DWtS singers.
  • Jake will get a contract. I’d be shocked if Kelly’s husband hasn’t signed him already.
  • Ricky will do fine on the blues circuit.
  • Despite Blake’s assertions, I don’t see a market for Kat.
  • Hello Sunday would be a big risk for any label or producer. They can be brilliant, but when it goes bad, it goes bad. And, they’re too young so have all the restrictions on school and work schedule.
  • Will is a wildcard. Maybe John can find him some work, but I don't see him selling out a club or doing much on the radio.
  • Marybeth, see Will.

I agree with your assessment except for Katie. She could possibly be the breakout star The Voice has been looking for. It's not just her voice. She's quirky & charming & her style is appealing.

Agree, but I think her sweet spot is still clubs and smaller performance spaces rather than huge venues. Part of the allure is being able to see her up close. Until she gets a Bianca del Rio-like following and can book setups with jumbotrons, I see her as a <1000 seat performer. I wonder how she’d do on the talk show/late show circuit?

I think she'd be hilarious.
 
I'm almost halfway done with the semi-final episode tonight and so far I've wound up fast-forwarding part way through the performances of 2 semi-finalists and one of the duos. I pray that Cat and Marybeth go this week. And I suspect that before the show is over, I'll be adding Jake to that list (I've wanted him gone for several weeks now - his butchering of "All of the Lights in the House Are On" 2 weeks ago nearly murdered my ears). I'm not sure who will be the 4th person/act to join them on my cut list yet.

Like it or not, Jake will probably win. He has had the most streamed video ever since the live shows started. Hope it isn't true. If I had to pick a winner, it would be Katie. Hope that is true. Kat did an awful rendition of 'Somewhere Only We Know'.

I would be fine with either Katie or Rose winning. Jake had probably his best performance since the live shows started last night. I think Hello Sunday has probably reached the end of the line, especially since tonight's cut is by half. I cannot remember Will's performance from last night at all and I couldn't at 10pm when the show endedyi, but Ricky has been mostly middle-of-the-road to me, so I think he is more likely to be the 4th elimination instead of Will. And I would not be sad if Blake didn't have any finalists.
 
This is the 1st time ever on any show that I picked the top 4 & was correct. Will's antics were sometimes entertaining but his vocals were so-so to me. Kat was merely horrible & should have never turned a chair. Marybeth was really good but no star power IMO. Hello Sunday needs more seasoning. I think we haven't heard the last of them.

I'm not sure why Rose doesn't seem to get the voters' support. Her styling is beautiful & her voice is divine. I love Ricky's voice & style and I think he would be wonderful on a CD but he seems subdued when compared to Jake & Katie. Both have such rich voices that I can't predict who will win but I definitely think they will be 1 & 2 at the end. I think for the 1st time at least 3 or 4 of the 4 will have a career after the show.
 
I liked Will better than Jake because I am not a country girl, but Jake's Desperado was probably his best and he keeps winning the apple music multiplier. Katie, Rose, and Ricky are my faves so I am happy with that. Marybeth was zzzz to me, but nice voice. Hello Sunday does hit some sharp notes so they need more work, but very talented and super personalities - Disney awaits! Kat's type of voice doesn't float my boat, but it seems Blake is going to get her signed to a deal.

The difference between her styling at the blind audition & now is mind boggling. The last couple of weeks she has looked & sounded beautiful. I really hope someone signs her. I think she would be terrific at gospel but I don't is she wants that route. I think the top 4 are all radio ready & I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with them.
