2019/20 ISU Grand Prix Assignments & Alternates thread

Cain-Gribble/LeDuc are now the highest-ranked team at both Skate America and IdF, based on world standings, current season's-best-scores, and Worlds results last year (although obviously, not all teams competed at Worlds). Could we see them at the Grand Prix Final?

:watch:
This is incorrect. Peng/Jin are at SA, and they were 4th at Worlds (~22 points higher than Ashley and Tim at 9th). They are also higher in WS.

Anyways, I think they have a shot at the GPF. The two young Russian pairs are probably the biggest competition in France. Pavliuchenko/Khodykin are also at SA.

Zabiyako/Enbert withdrew from GP series

What??? Do I dare say that I had Cain-Gribble & Leduc in winning silver, with them out (sad) maybe they can win at home?!?!

C-G&L did defeat P&J last week so I think they could possibly again.

Yanovskaya & Lukacs are/were training in Russia also.

Nazarova & Nikitin worked with Zhulin this summer--I believe on choreography. But they defeated Shpilevaya & Smirnov at Lombardia so being at the bottom of the replacement list probably isn't going to help N&N with this particular invite. (Better that they miss the GP and look like they did at Lombardia than earn a spot & look like they did last season).

Romain Ponsart is not on the entry list for SkAm anymore.
http://www.isuresults.com/events/cat03109449.htm

He did compete at Masters de Patinage last week (his SP is on YT) but like I wrote in the French skaters' thread, he was really struggling there and since SkAm is only two weeks away, I'm not that surprised that he decided to withdraw.
This was Romain's comeback after he had to withdraw from the French Nats because of a back injury and... yikes. I don't know what his injury recovery and training process has been like and what kind of expectations he had other than just testing his new programs in a competitive setting, but finishing 7th in this field (100+ points behind Aymoz) is just a brutal way to start a season.
