If this news is true, I will be interested to hear about how the program is received at Russian nationals. I will be too busy to watch it live.

I will watch it on You Tube when and only when I decide to watch it.

I prefer to see it as "fighting" move. LOL. But I do take your point. She's refusing to sit back and lose a World spot. I see this as a good thing.
 
Actually dying to see this. Ironically, it’s the most exciting piece of music she’s ever selected.
Whatever it ends up looking like, it won’t be boring

And also dealing with the big target on her back on and off the ice while getting into character..Back burner may be best idea for now...At least if she feels like she must kill in self-defense she will be right in character.
 
Oh god what if they use the scene where he is being tortured. (I know they won't really do this... I presume).

I feel like there were two really good arias in this one - oh I remember. E Lucevan Le Stelle and the one she sings about how all her life she lived for love and art? I wonder if they will pick one or both of those or something different.

I think the SP would have been great as a show piece instead of competitive. Give her something flirty to play with without the tenseness of competing - but hindsight is 20/20. Tosca could be great!

She looks so much more comfortable, and the jumps are solid. I can't wait to see her skate this full out. Glad she's opening with the combo, too -- that's very sensible.
 
This is awesome! I'm glad they didn't use a version with lyrics, I think that lets her skating be the focus as if it sort of is the "voice" of the aria.
