Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir #48: Long Time Running

This recap was so disappointing. I can't remember the woman's name but she was so annoying. She was just rambling on. I hoped they would do another recap with someone who acutally recaps the competition.

Tessa and Scott were really busy today:
Interviews: cp24 CTV News CTV BT
They bring Sandra Bezic on when they want saying anything controversial. They brought her on when V/M won NHK last year as well.

Me, too. This book could be really interesting. Hopefully it will be but I will buy it anyway :)

Here two more interviews with our dream team: funny little confessions eTalk interview
It's so funny: Tessa is wearing a new outfit in every interview and Scott is wearing the same outfit the whole day. Never change you two .
OMG, haha re confessions. I think they are zapped of energy at this point. Not that that wasn't genuine. It was. And sweet.

I thought the first edition was quite good. Not at all fluffy. I will purchase their latest edition whenever it's available.

In this video of the Gala Finale, the British Eurosport commentators mentioned the sinking feeling that V/M must have had as the season developed, especially with rumors behind the scenes being that P/C were going to win. I'm still amazed at how V/M responded to the GPF loss - they were so bold in making the changes they made so late in the season and then to put aside the behind-the-scene chatter and skate as well as they did at the Olympics. A true mark of the legends that they are.

I doubt they let the rumors get to them at all. They are professionals, and learned a long time ago that they cannot control the judges. Also, this season was special to them because they came back just for the Olympics and knew that this Olympic FD might be their last. They did not know that the French had gotten a monster score when they took to the ice. Their joy was so evident in their skate, and is probably the factor that made the most difference in terms of them winning. That FD is one for the ages - and I say that as one who didn't care for the program all season and thought it was a bad choice for the Olympics. But their Olympic performance of it demanded that I pay attention and give them and the program their due. They obviously chose the music/program because it called to them in some way, and in the end, their investment in it paid off.

Also, they lived through the 2013/2014 season knowing D/W were the favorites. There is no way they could not have known this (they said as much interviews). Although P/C may have been the favorites to win this time, it was not so clear cut as 2014 - as the final results showed.

Thanks to everyone who posted interviews! Some of them were in-depth, and interesting.

I did not know that Tessa had almost completed a degree in Psychology and is thinking of pursuing her MBA to challenge herself academically. Good for her!

Had a good chuckle when Scott said she was the smarter one of the two.:D

I miss the CD. What beautiful flow, edges, body leans; and look at how close their hips were to each other! It's scary how good they were as juniors.

Wish we had gotten a blues program from them along the way. Perhaps they will do one on tour in the future.

I miss the OD.
