The Shibutanis Thread Cinco...Mambo!

I dont post often but I read a lot on this forum, especially this thread! Just wanted to let you guys know that the shibsibs where just on the dutch tv (late night olympic talk show on the national channel),they were interviewd for a segment about there social media, big thing because figure skating is only a 4 year thing here (and even then there is very little talk about it). So good to see them and hope that the rest of Holland will check them out!

Anyway, I hope they do great in the short and have a stunning free

Welcome Lotte! Thanks for providing Shibs news from across the sea! They are wonderful representatives for the US and skating. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do on this board.

I'm starting to get nervous and excited for the short dance. :biggrinbo

Same caller as the team SD, right? I hope the Shibs have figured out how to satisfy this caller.

Anyone know the approximate time the Shibs are expected to skate?

What is that caller's name? I swear if he lowballs the Shibs to push his own agenda, I am going to make a voodoo doll and have at it:revenge:

In the TE, it's interesting that their TES went up after review. I heard when it comes to ice dance both the specialist and asst. specialist makes the initial calls as one watches the man and the other watches the woman, but it's clear someone disagreed with the initial calls and they had to look it over and it tended to go the Shibs way. I hope they forego the drama and just give them the higher calls that they would have ended up with anyway...maybe even higher when the Shibs do it even better in the individual competition ;).

I'm gonna stay out of the PBP thread until at least after the final group, but I just want to give last minute positive vibes to the Shibs. I just want them to have a kick-ass performance and to skate as cleanly as possible to leave no doubt. Go Shibs!

Rhumba and twz should be level 4.
I hold my breath during those twizzles. They were so close.:drama:

edit: shite...rhumba level 2 only?

Only level 2 on the Rhumba but they nailed everything else, maybe one level 3.

I think Chcok and Bates got a level 4 Rhumba.
They did, and I don't want to talk bad about other dancers so I'll leave it at that. Chock and Bates are not my faves, but I like them and it's certainly not their fault.

That was an absolutely killer performance though. Tanith said she thought it was the best they skated that SD all season.
