On another note: Any Brit here who can help me out? I really wonder why there hasn't been a video with the B ESP commentators? Did they comment and there just isn't a video online yet or didn't they comment the team event?
The short dance didn't air live on BESP, maybe it's on the player. I only saw he top three short dances of the team event during a break between the other disciplines.
edit: So I checked my tv box and I still have a copy. Here's what they said:
SD
Called the ending "dramatic" (in a good way) and the sp "spellbinding".
VM are prime form and that another Olympic gold medal is coming their way, because all they had to do was show up in the free dance (lol). They went a long long way to providing [team Canada] with a gold medal. (The commentary for this was recorded in post).
They said was a joy and they got twelve perfect tens in the component scores and rightly so. Need to work on the two key points missed in the rhumba.
A "monster" performance and score. Haven't seen them skate better. Energy level from start to finish was fantastic.
They talk that it could be double gold (says who knows). Say the French will go in as favourites.
FD:
The commentary here was live.
They are untouchable (for gold in the team event) and have been untouchable for a lot of their career.
Calls the FD mesmerising and that they can't imagine that it could be beaten and yet that's a real possibility in the individual comp. Their program and performance is getting better and better and that's the best they have performed it. Believe VM to have the edge in the SD and if they can skate the FD with that kind of emotion it's going to be "mighty close."
They have goosebumps from the incredible emotion and you forget that they are doing technical elements. Sometimes they feel like Scott over does it (emotions-wise) but here it was at its best. The attention to detail in the program is mindblowing.
Take ID (along with PC to a new level) they are way clear of the rest (and the rest are very good still).
