Well, I can certainly understand that. My post was hyperbole, because I'm tired of the speculation and conjecture.Oh.. no... sorry, but I'm tired of this..

Is someone forcing you to read this thread against your will?Oh.. no... sorry, but I'm tired of this..
Yes, there's a little person in brain that forces me to look. Like slowing down to see the aftermath of car crash, or watching one of those biggest fail videos on youtube, he just can't not look.Is someone forcing you to read this thread against your will?

Lalachka, allow me to give a different wording to what you said, so that others get a better idea what you mean... not to correct you, but to give an alternative phrasing.Something is happening in Russia in this matter. Russians are doing something, expressing support for the athletes, and considering various post olympics steps/actions and here is an example of what one journalist is saying: Dmitry Guberniyev sport journalist. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bek55dxHMNQ/?taken-by=guberniev_dmitry
Putin calls rodchenkov an idiot. Translations have said jerk idiot imbecile asshole

Some people are choosing translations that are much more click bait obviously! Or just making words up! Rodchenkov is not some saint figure and deserves much criticim but with him being extreme saint of truth and honesty to all ioc wada ipc IAAF why not just embrace rodchenkov being extreme pillar of greatness and honesty?Lalachka, allow me to give a different wording to what you said, so that others get a better idea what you mean... not to correct you, but to give an alternative phrasing.

your reply means this:
To be exact, Putin called Rodchenkov "придурок". Which is "nitwit" or "half-wit".
I would call Rodchenkov a "criminal who is just as guilty as the rest, if not more, and who deserves WADA's legal actions against him for his integral role in the scheme". He did not repent out of guilt and morals, but out of personal interests when his other "swindles and crimes", besides the doping set up, have failed.
22 Olympic champions, famous coaches and Evgenia Medvedeva have signed a letter to the IOC and Thomas Bach supporting Ivan Bukin
Yagudin, Pluschenko, Sotnilova, Berezhnaya, Sikharulidze, Anissina, Klimova, Ponomarenko, Valova, Vasiliev, Kazakova, Dmitriev, Gordeeva, Totmianina, Marinin, Bestomianova, Andrei Bukin, Aleksandr Zaitsev, Evgeny Platov, Viktor Petrenko, Scott Hamilton, Gwendal Peizerat, Tatiana Tarasova and Tamara Moskvina have signed the letter.
The article also provides a pic of Medvedeva’s letter to Bach
There was, only it was done in a form of Petition.I'm happy for Ivan that he has such support. I do wonder why Stolbova isn't getting the same support, and if they know something we don't know.
Yes, I got a copy since I follow her on FB. It was signed by the same people. I suspect they are doing it independently so separate cases can be made for each athlete. There was, only it was done in a form of Petition.
I don't think that's the same. For me it's the difference between 100K people signing a petition and 45 Nobel Prize winners signing a letter. ETA: Even if the Nobel Prize winners sign the petition, too. There was, only it was done in a form of Petition.
In the NYC ballet world, there have been two high-profile resignations: Peter Martins at NYCB, based on allegations of sexual misconduct and physical abuse, and Marcelo Gomes at ABT based on sexual misconduct. While there are people who believe both resignations were premature, the evidence was scanty, and that they weren't given due process (whatever that means in terms of employment), there are far more people who believe the allegations about Martins, but without much knowledge, are defending Gomes to the hilt, because he was so beloved.I'm happy for Ivan that he has such support. I do wonder why Stolbova isn't getting the same support, and if they know something we don't know.

Zagorski/Guerreiro are officially on the ISU Entries list for the Games.

So is A/R.
I think there is nothing much that they can do.
Maybe because he's the son of Andrei Bukin? He definitely doesn't forget that, even in the letter to IOC.I'm happy for Ivan that he has such support. I do wonder why Stolbova isn't getting the same support, and if they know something we don't know.
I don’t think it’s the reason. Maybe there’s some deals in the backstage and the deal can only save one person...I think it is simply because it would be the first Olympic games for Bukin, and S/B were getting better results, on the other hand, Ksenia already has Olympic medals and honestly, she is in decline and probably she would retire after this season anyway. Bukin´s situation simply seems crueler.
I should hope so!Andrei Bukin
It's that, and the fact that Stolbova's name has already been out there for some time, while Bukin's name (just recently) popped-up out of nowhere ... for the majority, that is.Maybe because he's the son of Andrei Bukin? He definitely doesn't forget that, even in the letter to IOC.
The names i saw on the Petition for Stolbova included "big names", but i did not check all since there were thousands. But honestly, if i personally knew there is a Petition already, i would think it is sufficient, and not start a 2nd "letter".... Bukin did not have a petition, so they started a letter...I don't think that's the same. For me it's the difference between 100K people signing a petition and 45 Nobel Prize winners signing a letter. ETA: Even if the Nobel Prize winners sign the petition, too.
Or was this petition by skating elite?.
Scott Hamilton? Gwendal Peizerat? Interesting that they signed it..The majority of names in the Bukin letter were people who were connected to Bestemianova and Bukin in some way (teammates, coaches, those who worked with TAT or Bobrin )
Of course it didn't: but the idea is that important people signing a targeted letter is considered more effective than a petition. The names i saw on the Petition for Stolbova included "big names", but i did not check all since there were thousands. But honestly, if i personally knew there is a Petition already, i would think it is sufficient, and not start a 2nd "letter".... Bukin did not have a petition, so they started a letter...
The letter that is signed for Bukin did not have 45 Nobel Prize winners. It had names of 25 current and former skaters.
