Russian nationals recap:

Overall:
This has been the worst Hunger Games in year. Real mess and bad performances and up on podium. That event was such a big disappointment.

Men:
Kolyada - should be save.
Samarin - That freakin' SP :encore::respec: Guilty pleasure! He was so good in it. Loved every second. Looking damn hot does no harm either! :cool: It's his spot to lose for Korea.
Gingersoldier - Lovely new costume. I did not believe he would finish on podium before and during the event. Now enjoy your Euros ride, very happy for my boy! But leave this velvetpants-scared-knc-holding-hands to others please!!!
Voronov - Ouch.
Dimitriev - I just can't and I almost puke knowing vice can :P
Erokhov - So good, loved him. He is on my personal watchlist.
Shulepov - I had no clue I am still that invested in him. Totally love his skating. A shame his skating goes nowhere :drama:
Murashov - 2-4-combo, :gallopin1-rockstar! Best thing was watching Volchkova ('s nose) in the back as he finished the program :glamor:
Petrov - :fragile: Help me, why did he withdrew?

Ladies:
Stasia - Program of the night. Totally loved that. Now watch her being shut out from junior worlds :drama: I need her at Euros, I don't want to wish bad to anyone, but I do want to see her there! Stunning! Loved the bitchface after the SP.
Polina - Curse of the name. What a shame. Is she too old for junior worlds?
LaTuk - No sandstorm, no interest.
Sima - still can't stand the FS

Mikhailova - Hell yeah! Vice I am so on your bandwagon here :rockstar:
Leonova - This was not bad but obvious, it's not good enough anymore. There is always Golden Spin!

S/K - love the PCS call by russian judges in comparison to T/M

E/K - grow muscles boy! Such a good time! i need them to be in contention the next years somehow.

Z/G - Euros, holy crap yes :encore: Not the way I wanted it to happen and not with the skate (FD) I wanted it to happen, but hell yeah :encore:Can't wait for german eurosport at Euros; during GP they called them mental chosing to skate for Russia.
Nikita - Evil me is thinking Vicky would have made it through the program. He is done.
L/D - Soft spot for them, but she has soft spot for the dinners I guess :EVILLE:

South Korea:
Park - well done my girl. Stunnign SP and very decent FS. The shit selection criteria obviously has blown your chances. I hope she skates light out at 4CC's to get herself some GP next season. Great comeback :respec:

Japanese Men:
Tanaka - who would have thought 3 years ago? What a career turn for him!
Mura - So much drama. Poor guy.
Dice2 - My fave, a shame his skating wasn't there. Of all after Haynu and Uno, he is my absolute favourite.
Hino - This must have been the most emotional Hino has ever been. Finally :D

Ladies:
So many tears and sad eyes seeing their dream fall apart even with great performances. Was hard to watch :(

Miyahara - happy she made. Awesome reaction by coach in knc.
Sakamoto - Awesome. She deserves to go. Loved her fist in SP and FS. Stunning girl :encore:
Higuchi - Not my type, it's really sad for her, but getting worlds is a fine solution by Japanese Fed. Kudos to that. Some other Feds could have learned from that :angryfire
Mihara - Heartbroken. The SP was no good choice, I said it right from the start. Hope she skates lights out at 4CC's.
Hongo - Boy that girl had me sweatin'. What a performance in the SP, she went total mental, her head was swining in all directions. Have to admit I enjoyed that. I would have not thought she would come that close.
Nagai - Nice to see her making peace afetr least seasons horror outing. Still love her skating. What is this IG-post about? Translation works strange for me. Has she called it a career?

Ladies:

Nagasu - I like her for sentimental reasons, but the skating does not much for me
Chen - No Dornbush, no interest.
Wagner - Not impressed by LaLaLand. I can live with the call though I wonder how Chen's season (and overall record) was better than Wagner :huh: Like the fact she speaks out loud.
Hicks - Those loop-combos are suicidal! I can't watch :yikes:
Zhang - :wuzrobbed If this is the end, it's sad, as it's not pleasing. I wished she could end on a high note. Those thight colour :rofl:

Happy for @levineismine and stunned for H/B. But how the hell does this result by US judges give any confidence to any of the 3 teams heading into Olympics? Shibs ditched, H/B winning without winning any segment, and C/B ending up 3rd. I don't know if these judging is good for the mindset of all 3 teams. #missionbronze for Bob all I gotta say! :D

Men:
Miner - I won't comment on any of the decision. The boy has his night and I hope we get a video of his Smucker performance last night. I might get teary-eyed. As a fan I had my hardest moments with Miki-2008-worlds and Aliona-tears on olympic podium 2014 but this was something else. Seriously. I am still a wreck! But so proud! Please end it on that note Ross, no 4CC's with possible faltering and giving the feds a reasonto think that was right! We have come a long way. Thanks for that! :swoon:
Hochstein - Back to LesMis as I hoped, a shame it did not get the momentum I hoped.
Aaron - Those knc-eyes were hard to watch.
Ma - I am too old fashioned for this :D But loved Weir's comment: 'Where is Celine Dion when needed?' (or something like that :P)

@Jeschke my bf is a teacher too, he has almost the same holiday schedule as you, except from the two weeks in May/June. What are they? The best thing about German school is the large cones filled with candy the kids get on the first day after summer vacation. I bought one for bf on one of my Berlin travels (the smallest one, some of them are HUUUUUGE, must be bigger than the children, I love it) and fills it for him when he's back to work after summer. I'm such a good gf.

I am a teacher in Germany, too. In my area we don't have long holidays in May/June, but rather lots of days off because of some Christian holidays ;)

Men's was horrible. The final pairs group was shit, although the penultimate group was AWESOME. Ladies was fabulous. I didn't watch dance.
