Always good to see Gracie relaxed, happy and smiling. A much better environment that she is living in and training at. So glad Gracie made a move.

As always, wishing GG the best season she has had yet! Go get it, Gracie! :cheer2: :kickass: :cheer2:

I am sure that Marina has asked her to retreat and focus on her goal so that she can be confident and ready to perform her best. I surely loved the changes i saw in Patrick's skating, hopefully Gracie will look as improved. Gracie has never been as open on Social Media as say Ashley and that's fine. I just truly hope she does well this season. Gracie has worked with very heavy handed male coaches. Marina seeks to get the same result by inspiring and influencing her skaters to take charge of their own careers within the frame work she sets.

I am looking forward to seeing what they come up with. I get the feeling that pretty princess will return but I could be wrong.

(Not directed at you, but just in general something that's bothered me with the Gracie situation post-Frank)

The stuff going on at home with Gracie has never been (and never will be) any of our business as fans. I feel bad for these athletes sometimes because of how scrutinized they can be outside of skating. They're normal people who probably get sick of being judged in skating all of the time, so I can only imagine when her personal/family life becomes public knowledge. Her family is her business and her privacy IMO (always will be).

I genuinely wish her a successful comeback and think she's a really sweet girl. (who probably isn't as sweet as she lets on, which is why I like her.)

That is what Gracie did in the Olympic season. I think Frank told her to just focus on her training so she deleted all social media and we saw how well trained she was for Nationals despite having a brand new SP never done in competition before. She went to Nationals not just to make the team but win and silenced all those people who said she already had a spot no matter how she skated. Phil Hersh even said it was amazing how Gracie did at those Nationals considering she was terrified of not making the Olympic team since she had all the hype and endorsements and how she handled all that pressure so Gracie has shown in the past that she can get it done even with the crushing pressure that she's had since coming out of Juniors. Considering how her Olympic season started without a coach she really showed some guts which makes it more frustrating when she can't get it done like at Worlds with the title or a medal in her hands.

She was never very active in social media to begin with. But she has been sharing more recently in her instagram story, it seems that on last Saturday several skaters from Canton had a BBQ. She looked quite happy.

She might not have been very active on social media but i bet she read a lot of what people were saying about her and just keeping off social media totally and not reading that crap was a good thing that helped her focus on what was really important.

Boy, that is a lot of conjecture.

Personally, I think social media is a scourge on mankind. However, some people seem to do quite well managing it-----think Shibs!

Gracie is my favorite US lady. She has the talent to be competitive at the Olympics with the Russian and Japanese ladies or Canadians depending on how they skate. I really hope she can put it all together this season. She clearly wants to continue skating (at least this season) since she didn't just walk away from skating. I'll be cheering for her at every event she competes.

There is a whole lot of love and support out there for Gracie! Go show 'em what you're made of GG :kickass: :kickass: :kickass: because it ain't over till it's over! :cheer2: :cheer:

TSL tweets today:

"Hearing USFS won't send Gold to Senior B events. Unclear if they can pull from Grand Prix. Sun Valley reports make competing impossible"

"Sadly, Gold appears to have lost the heart to skate. Immensely talented, but won't be returning to Olympics this year"

Dear Lord: please do not let this be true. :(

Until we have more accurate, reliable and confirmed information, all I will say at this moment, is sometimes these things happen :( and only time will tell. Whatever the outcome, this too shall pass. Wishing GG the very best wherever she goes from here. :respec:

I know someone suggested some family issues she was dealing with, whatever the issue I hope she can follow her heart and be happy with or without skating. Such a great talent who accomplished a great deal, she should be proud.

I was shocked when I saw the Sun Valley clips but thought they could have been the beginning of a warmup. If those clips are in fact, the best that she is doing right now, then it's no wonder USFS is pulling their support.
I think these were part of a warm-up, (Sun Valley clips), with all the other people on the ice, and the person posting it even said it wasn't from the show. In other words, the singles were probably intentional. That being said, does she look in top competitive shape? No. But I would like TSL to post their sources. If they can't name names, then say that they got it from an official, or that its just their own speculation. Not saying it's not true, but the tweet just came out of nowhere.
That would be kind of an unnecessary move on the part of the USFSA. If they didn't want her on the team, then she should go to Sr B's. If she does not do well, at any of her events, then they have the appropriate justification to say....you're not on the team. And SHE has the result that could light a fire to get back in shape, or decide if she wants to continue. I think time is running out on her second chances though. NO shame in taking even more time to get into shape and try to finish her career on a high note next year, or even hanging the skates up. Wish her the best.

I'm not familiar with Sun Valley, but I don't see how that can be anything other than a warmup. It's broad daylight, there are other skaters using the ice, she appears to be marking the jumps.

I think her arms look good, and she's moving better then she did on SOI.

Frankly, she and Polina and anyone else who isn't 90% by the start of the GP should use the fall to practice, then hopefully get some later CS comps or other small internationals.

I think people need to chill out.

Would TSL put its reputation on the line????

If it were false I can't believe any organization would do that.

Yet at the same time even if it were true its only Gracie's choice to announce it or usfsa.... which kinda discredits TSL...

I don know how to feel... No matter the circumstance I don't think TSL should have said a peep...

BTW is Jenny still involved with TSL?
