I ADORE BESAME MUCHO, but I have to be cautious and await anymore Carmen programs until I see them. But this is a team that could make me want to watch it (she is definitely a Carmen), but Im still being cautious to a warhorse of these magnified proportions. lol

And Im in love with Besame. I can't recall anyone skating to that and I think it is definitely a passionate piece that will have me glued!

I always try and sing the song in Spanish whenever I think of it and start singing to it in the car. lol

I'm going to make a bold prediction that Tarasova and Morosov's LP will be even more snarkworthy than last year's and the music will either be this or something even worse.

Anybody brave enough to admit they've seen The Identical? I've never heard of it before today, and it sounds . . . didactic, I guess.

ETA: I can't believe I forgot about this entry from last season's Melodifestivalen, which might be even more epic.

What is that WTF-ery, in your opinion? Are you really talking about programs? Okay, their 2014/2015 season programs were not that great, but they were not horrible either. The SP warrior woman image suited Stolbova. Their Sochi Olympic season SP was just okay, but the FS/LP was quite wonderful. The 2015/2016 season programs were perfect, in my opinion, even if 'I Put a Spell on You' was already a bit overused. Last season's SP was fine, simply something different for them, and the LP could have been great if they were in better form and had more outings with it.

Besides, the Mozer era haven't ended for them. She is still their coach, but she has never been their or anyone else's choreographer.

I think the WTF-ery was directed at the other teams in Mozer's camp, not S/K.

... looks to me, like someone on the Russian side, who is responsible for official english titles of the programmes for the ISU forms, is not doing it quite right. I hope i am wrong.... but here is the info.

"I love you much too much" is not Anrews Sisters' piece and they don't have a piano version. It is an old Yiddish "Folk" song, it's called “Ich Hob Dich Tzufil Lieb” oder “Ich Hub Dih Zu Viel Lib” - and many artists performed, it, Voice and Instrumental, so it is possible there is an appropriate piano version...

I would be surprised if Stolbova/Klimov chose any classic versions of Besame.... They like to be innovative.

KSENIA AS CARMEN. I have never been so happy to see a Carmen announcement in my entire life!! finally a worthy Carmen who can out-crazy Anjelika Krylova I really hope they play up the drama in that one. Besame Mucho is also perfect for them IMO.

Boogie-woogie LP for Tarasova and Morozov we will see about that, but I do love their SP choice!

And WTF to that LP by Zabijako and Enbert? You can't mix "Too Close" by Alex Clare with Sleeping Beauty, no you may not! good grief leave it to team Mozer to mess with my emotions. That was like riding the tilt-a-whirl to process everything.

I think Besame mucho is a terrible choice for then.
They've never IMO delivered on the sexy/ chemistry vibe and this demands it IMO.
Carmen works better, especially for her.
They should have skated to music from Road Warrior or something.
She is stoic and strong.
We will see.
If they don't deliver technically they will be left in the dust IMO.

I agree on the chemistry, but they do have the presence, speed, and authority on the ice to pull off Besame Mucho quite well. She's also very flirty and sexy, just not with Fedor. Maybe they picked it to improve their skills and tackle the chemistry criticism..

It is... and oh my. I really love that song but they might be the last team on the planet I'd give that music to, it requires lots of personality and charisma. Im kind of shocked they're using that for their Olympic LP honestly and don't know what to make of it. (and so very relieved) It's better than their LP music from last year, no question.

Well, T/M have to do something. I think them going fully Russian classical would be too generic for the audience in terms of keeping their attention, so right not force a faster-paced number for them?

We'll see I guess, I just have a really bad feeling about it. They didn't have to do Russian classical for both programs in order to have two programs that really suit their skating style. I ended up liking their short last year though.
