I would guess Germany will not use the ladies Spot, so the US has got 2.She defeated the novice ladies champion in international competition directly after Nationals, though. And at the Broadmoor Open. (Won her group at the Bavarian Open). Makes sense that Cui is in the mix.
I'm sure S. Korea is using their spots. (Their JGP selection competition is being held at the end of this month, but they had 50 junior ladies at Nationals). If a place has opened in a ladies' event, I don't see it being from Korea. It does sound like Korea will let some of their junior men's places go, however, based on the posted criteria.



International Committee isn't using Instagram to determine assignments. Training videos and element clips are frequently sent directly to monitors and other officials, but the ability to execute elements in isolation doesn't earn a skater an international assignment: the ability to execute those elements within the context of a full program in a pressure situation earns international assignments.
No one's going to seriously argue that Ting got a JGP just because of an Instagram post. But, you know, I don't think it hurt, either.
