I have never, ever known or known of a boy with my name -- it's as bad as being a boy named Sue. (((All the baby boys given my name.))) It peaked in popularity in the decade before I was born and has sharply declined since then, so now there aren't even that many girls being given my name, so hopefully no more boys.
-- unless it's describing my household products which are free (of perfumes) and clear (of dyes) because of allergies.
My name peaked in popularity 15 years before I was born, so I was not cool from day one! No one names their kid my name; I don't think it's the type of name that will ever have a resurgence.Growing up, every time I saw one of these lists the origin was European and the meaning was noble. On this list the orgin is Arabic and the meaning said wishes and desires.
I also like the info given about each name. My name was popular in the 40's and 50's (sort of) and then it took a steep dive in numbers and is hanging on.
:P is for pure, the spiritual side of you.
U is for unite, you bring people together.
R is for relax, you know how!
P is for patriot, your love of country.
L is for lucky, who is more?
E is for enjoy, your life can be fun!

Heh. With a "y" an "i" or an "ie"?I'm guessing what your name is based on the meaning. If I am right, my friend has a 5 year old who shares it.
