Make up names are so much fun now. My favorites are the nail polish names.

BTW, bought Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal this weekend. Love! I did learn my lesson: use a light hand lol

Did you get the pressed or the liquid? Did you try champagne pop or topaz? I have the poured(cream) of topaz and the pressed powder of champagne pop.

I really have too many highlighters. My favorites are Abatross by Nars and Bobbi Brown's 24 carat shimmer brick.

I got the pressed powder. I suck with creams, I can never get it right, it's always blotchy and uneven. :(. I plan on getting Topaz for summer, that would be gorgeous. The Champagne Pop looked a little too much like NYX Narcissistic. I'm really into a bronzer/highlighter kick right now. I have NYX Illuminator in Narcissistic and Magnetic (Magnetic has glitter though so that will be given to my 10 year old), the Hourglass Ambient in Radiant, several shimmery Physician's Formula bronzers, and a MAC one that has a slight shimmer. Lordy, I need to be careful or I'll be a freakin' disco ball! lmao

Here's a photo with Hourglass and a little of Becca on. Sorry for the crappy photo, the ipad's front facing camera is not good. https://flic.kr/p/CQNir5

 myhoneyhoney sounds like a nail polish colour!

Meant to mention this - on the weekend I was at a big Asian supermarket hunting about for daikon and udon noodles and Chinese celery and all that good stuff, when I stumbled into the beauty aisle! Along with the usual shampoos etc that you'd find in any grocery store, there was a significant display of skincare, include about a 6 foot section of masks. Of course most of the labels weren't in English and I didn't recognize the brands, but I intend to spend some time :COP: before our next grocery trip and see what I might be able to find.

Thought I'd share in case anyone else who is interested in Korean/Japanese/Chinese skincare has access to a local Asian market :)

I hear ya. I like the highlighting ALOT in the picture. You look so polished and updated(you know I love the bright lippie).

Jenny... I'll look into that. Korean skincare is so cutting edge. Korean skincare is so into dewy skin and as a dry skin person, I completely love their skincare ideas.

I love the glow highlighter gives my pale face. Let it glooowww!!!

I put liquid NYX highlighter in my sunblock and put thebalm on my cheekbones.
Are any of the Glamour Puss ladies coming to Bratislava to do a check in skaters makeup bags with me?

Most of the Asian supermarkets in my area jack up the prices for Asian skincare so I get mine online if possible.

You might be able to find some My Beauty Diary (Taiwanese) masks in your Asian supermarkets. It's probably one of the few sheet mask brands that is consistently in Asian supermarkets. That and also My Scheming (Taiwanese), Kose (Japanese). If you come across any Lovemore or L'Herboflore masks, those are heaven. Lovemore masks are supposedly made with silk so they are thin and comfortable.

I just went gluten free on my makeup(last thing to go),my box from e.l.f. came in today, going to try it out here in a little bit. Covergirl is gluten free also. Harder to deal with is finding gluten free moisturizer and lotion. I think I'll end up going straight coconut oil for body lotion.

I had a gift card for Sephora, so I got Urban Decay lipstick in Rapture and I was really pleased with myself that I found this fabulous new color.

I came home, went to put it with my other lipsticks....and there is an Urban Decay tube. In Rapture.

Le sigh.

Well at least you can take it back for new color

Oooh that looks like a good color for me too. But yeah, a glut of berry lipsticks here as well.

I have done this.

More than once.

My thing is to buy a lipstick in a totally different brand than I own thinking I have nothing else like it at home only to find I have two others that are almost identical in other brands.... :shuffle:

I do this a lot with peachy nude colours.

Does blush need to be replaced after a certain period of time?

I did my once every three to five years of getting a makeover, and I have at last found somethings that look good and are easy for me.

I have blush that I got during the last makeover. Keep or toss?

I keep things as long as they smell the same, taste the same (lip products) and have the same colour and consistency. And I use rubbing alcohol every one in a while.

Mascara thickens after about 2 months so I toss it. Powder-based stuff keeps for years, cream-based, not so much.

Powder products should be OK for years and years. If you're worried about germs, give it a bit of a spritz of rubbing alcohol then let dry.
