Yuzuru Hanyu Cheer Thread

This spread-3A-spread looks incredible from fancam. No doubt it got +3 in 2 out of 2 attempts. I can feel a lot more +3 on this one this season :summer:

Hanyu needs to stop losing concentration on jumps that should be money for him like his 3lutz. Hard to figure how he can nail his quads and 3xel combo's then falls on a triple lutz. It's maddening sometimes.

Well, he heard your wish and did stop losing concentration on those jumps because at his last competition he pulled off all of his lutzes. Where he failed were the quads.

His failures on those lower triples are actually nothing hard to figure out: either he's too tired and they're at the end of the program or the entry/timing is too hard for him as is the case with his SP combo.

That's why he doesn't need the 3rd quad. He will beat anyone with just 2 quads if he skates clean. I don't know if he has the stamina for 3 quads.

Oh well Yuzuru wants challenges for himself. If he stays on one place he might not improve. And going for much harder layouts is his challenge, he wants to conquer. After all he has won everything, it's hard to keep motivation to go on when you have nothing else to go for, don't you think. When your dream comes true, there's a long moment of fear as you don't know what to do next. Yuzuru decides he has to move forwards and push the limits. Of course I want more clean performances from him but the boy is stubborn and he will never go safe. Maybe that's why I like him. I can only hope the best for him. His programs this season are so beautiful, I hope he will make it.

|I defeinitely think he has. Fall on quad is imo more exhausting than landed one, and after fall on 3rd one at Autumn classic he was stilla able to do the rest of jumps besides 2nd axel mistake with powerfull choreo seq at the end, and he said he was not fully fit there, so I am optimistic

GO YUZU!!! Thanks for posting that practice video. 2000+ views already, jeez. He looks to be in great shape. Now do it where it counts!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

 Am I wrong, or did, I see a perfectly secure Quad Loop.
He might have quad loop in the program next season, this season I am not sure.

Today he did 4S, 4T, 3F (huge) - skipped the spin, did the step sequence, then 4T2T landed not best but ok, 3A3T (HUGE), then 3A1lo3S, skipped the 3Lo, landed the 3lz (effortless), then spin, skipped the choreo sequence, end.

The fancam has great quality and it's so close.

I'm so excited to see Hanyu skate tonight! I haven't been able to watch the practice footage but it sounds like he is skating really well, so I anticipate greatness.

Why I am not surprised, his first GPs in the past never went well. So this SC is not an exception.
There's something like a jinx. I dislike that he didn't get credit for the combo. Oh well....
His SP at SC: http://youtu.be/8eb5ehtFRo8
at least that 3A was so nice and got +3 across the board.

Yuzuru should either ditch the 4T in SP and go for 4S instead, or he should go for 3lz3lo. His 3lo is great he could do it.

Why should he go for the 4s in the SP when it's still a relatively new jump for him? He doesn't miss the 4t in the short that often.

It's more consistent for him now than 4T, and everyone knows he's more of an edge jumper.
