ETA: OH MY GOD DID ANYONE SEE THE SNEAK PEEK ON TALKING DEAD? PLEASE LET THAT BE BETH PLEASE LET THAT BE BETH PLEASE LET THAT BE BETH....

Sorry to disappoint, but it can't be Beth because the episode is going back in time. The body burial on the roof occurred before Carole arrived in the hospital and was seen by Beth. So, I guess we can expect Beth and Carole to stage a great escape. At least kick-ass Carol should be able to carry that scene.

It doesn't relate to anything and no one really likes Beth.

I don't dislike her, just don't find her very interesting. She's a sweet girl who loves babies and doesn't have much depth or dimension. I think we are to see her sweetness as her primary asset, especially given that it helped her to reach Darryl. So it has some purpose in the zombie apocalypse.

Why did Glenn and Maggie even take the bus with Abraham and co instead of staying behind with Rick?

Rick made a deal with Abraham. Abraham stayed another 12 hours to wait for Carol and Darryl, and he got Maggie and Glen on his team in return.

Okay, so it wasn't Beth in the fire. I should've known, because that wrapped body exhibited more emotion and acting skill than Emily Kinney showed in three seasons on this show. :P

Melissa McBride is gorgeous. Just flat out beautiful. Damn. I first really noticed in "The Grove" and now every time I see her, it just strikes me how beautiful she is. I have a huge girl crush. And so her and Daryl 98% of an episode? Damn.

And so much for thinking she staged her injuries to get into the hospital. THOSE BASTARDS RAN OVER CAROL.

Daryl is gonna be so pissed.

I bet before the show started, you dug out your New Years Eve/Birthday party supplies (horns, streamers, noise makers, sparklers etc) just in case it was Beth.

- Then scream into a pillow and throw it at the TV when it wasn't.

Did anyone watch The Talking Dead yesterday? Chris said something to which Yvette Nicole Brown said, "how could you say that when your mother is in the audience??!!" It was about 2/3 of the way into the show and it was after they were talking about Carol and Daryl hooking up, or Beth and Noah hooking up. Chris said something like, "I got a new kitano boy" or "nude cotona for ya". I listened to what he said a few times but just couldn't make out what he was saying...

If I were Daryl, I would probably think very carefully about saving Noah, after collapsing the bookshelf on him. Fine, I would probably have killed the walker who was pushing through, but I would probably not have helped him out of the bookshelf either. He took Daryl's crossbow and released walkers on them. And fine, he probably had to and they made it out safely anyway, but I wouldn't have trusted him at all. I would have just killed the walker, reclaimed the crossbow and left. He would escape from under the bookshelf eventually, much like he felt Daryl and Carol would escape from a tent of zombies which he released on them.

And boy, that scene with the falling van totally rocks!

Carol was so attractive. There's an aura of strength around her. She might have her fragile moments, but there's something about the way she would kill zombies and ask the girl to "just look at the flowers" that scream "sexy". :P

I had to cut the producers a fair bit of slack for that scene. The van was pointing downwards off the bridge and as it fell, at best it would have hit the ground engine-first and at worst, it would have flipped over and landed on the roof. So to see the van go off the bridge like that...and then land perfectly on four tires...fairly unbelievable!

On The Talking Dead, they talked about this and everyone seemed to agree that Noah is just a kid and to not help a kid out (even after what he did to Carol and Daryl) would not have been right. And it was just not the kind of people that Carol and Daryl are.

Yes  I have decided to overlook that part.

At that split second when they buckled up, I was thinking man this would be a horrible idea but that's probably why Carol ended up in the hospital...

Killing the walker would still be helping, and not rescuing him out of the bookshelf is more of a self-protection thing. The kid did take their weapons before. Why should they trust him? Actually Daryl even wanted to leave him be with the walker. I do think that would be too much.

That was a really interesting part of The Talking Dead episode. They asked exactly what Carol meant when she said something like "we can't save people". (There were different opinions on that.) One guest wondered when Daryl walked away from the kid under the bookshelf, if that was his way to push Carol to let go of her hurt/angry moment she had with her "we can't save people" comment. And that Daryl wasn't really being a hardass, but he was giving Carol a chance to get back into touch with her humanity. You all gotta be watching The Talking Dead, people! :D

Peter, you know my issue with the Talking Dead. :D If I don't get it on the show, the writers f*cked up. Like with what happened to Abraham's family. At no point on the show was any of that indicated.

PL, we both know that deep works of art can be interpreted many, many ways. And bring about much discussion and analyzing. Now if we were talking about a silly zombie program, everything would be straight-forward. But that is not the case, my sweet. Stop swimming upstream. Join us all as we float down the river and settle in the Bay of Talking Dead. :respec:

P.S. As for Abraham's family, I think that was an editing issue. They had too much footage for the show and they had to edit out what the men did to Abraham's wife. And maybe the footage was too brutal to show? Or they wanted us to wonder about Abraham? It's possible we will see more of what happened in a later episode. Like this week's episode let us see a lot more of what Carol went through on her own. I was glad to see that footage because I often wonder about the blanks that I'd like to have filled in...and they did it perfectly this episode. :40beers:

We haven't seen the conclusion of Abraham's back story yet and hopefully before the mid season finale we would see him at least talking about it. And hopefully the gang are gonna cut Eugene's hair! It's the least he deserves.

I think we've seen all we're going to see. TTD did discuss that. The producer said they didn't want to do a 2-4 episode story arc and have to include new characters (the family and the men he killed), especially since they introduced the new characters in the hospital. I know Grady Memorial and crack up every time they talk about it.

I think we're not going to see it, as they mentioned in on TTD.

I think it was really important to include in Abraham's back story. But, the producers probably expect everyone to watch TTD after each episode, and intentionally mention things that they had to leave out.

Talking about moron, the most satisfying moment of the season so far since Carol rescued everyone from Terminus was when Abraham punched Eugene.

I knew that guy was going to attack Sasha, dammit. Trust, but verify, people. TRUST BUT VERIFY.

This was a weird episode. Maybe they'll explain it on Talking Dead. :P

It always bothers me when they show characters not keeping everything in their line of sight. This episode they did this with not only Sasha, but then later with Father Gabriel. It's a cheap way on the part of the writers to create suspense. Anybody who doesn't move about turning both their body as well as their head (even more) to continually see everything around them for 360 degrees....would have been bitten and zombified many months ago.

As for Sasha, when that cop talked about Tyler, I would have said to him, "shouldn't be a problem....once our two groups settle things amicably, we'll be out of here and you'll have all day to finish off ol' Tyler". (But again, lazy writing...)

True, yes, but I didn't have problem with Sasha's behaviour because she had a vulnerable (and therefore stupid) moment and let her guard down in a space that she had seen was free of zombies.

I don't know what's up with Father Gabriel though. And I'm still bothered by the fact that we are too believe he was able to keep a village outside of the church, with people scratching on the walls, for such a long time. A few axes would have easily penetrated it.

So who is going to die next week?

Hopefully Beth, but Carol's name has been tossed around.

I wouldn't be surprised if they off Sasha too.

Some are saying Eugene's gurgling sounds more walker than human. Will be bite Maggie?
