Adelina Sotnikova: if I make something or someone is sick, I'm sick on the ice!
First in Russian and Soviet history Olympic champion in women's figure skating Adelina Sotnikova in an interview with "F-Sport" Mary Vorobevoj tells about a trip to the show in Japan, shares ideas and new productions recognized that wants to relive Olympic emotions.
Second, the program in Japan was more than full, so we were tired-horror-with laughter begins reminiscing about going on the show three times world champion Mao Asada. Sotnikova - But still had a lot of fun, positive, and the company's simply great!
-A company that is not afraid to ride even the most terrifying rides?
-Yes (laughs). We moved from one city to another, and the organizers said that they had a surprise for us. When we realized that we are taken to the amusement park in Nagoya, such cries of joy rose. ... All were just happy! However, Charlie White (2014 Olympic champion in ice dancing with Meryl Davis) terribly afraid, one slide we never persuaded up (laughs). He, as it turned out, just can not be at a high altitude and can not stand the crazy speed when the train rushes into the abyss. But Meryl almost ran ahead of everyone!
-And you are not afraid of such rides to ride?
- No. I, on the contrary, needed some adrenaline, and just on the rides, I finally got it (laughs).
-Like to tickle their nerves?
-Yes. For some reason I don't have a fear, but, you know, feel that "Ah" spirit captured! And the rides were just by the way.
Music with words will help revitalize the new voluntary program
-What pleased the Japanese fans?
- I ride a piece of a new free program and show room Come together.
-Your coach Elena Vodorezova told a recent demonstration room "Swan Lake" has now become your short program ...
-That's it. I like that this place has some very strong emotions, and when I push show, realized that I can pass them. Not gentle and soft Odette, not a White Swan. I prefer the second one (laughs). Odile image, in my opinion, not only brighter, but somewhere even bitchy, cocky.
-Not boring you with this production? Did you all spring rides her in the show.
-I don't think so. Just this hurricane of emotions helps every time re-live story.
-What is the theme chosen for an arbitrary program?
-Free I have the song Je suis malade performed by Lara Fabian. It may seem that music in my new programs with something similar, but on the mood, the emotions are different.
-Song Fabian took with words?
-Yes. I think this will bring some kind of novelty. Unusual sensations that will liven up the program, and maybe I even find it easier to roll the production.
- Main theme song - the pain of the loss of a loved one. You have the basis of the program a true story or brought something of their own?
- I read the translation of the song, I know about the history of what it refers. Perhaps I initially wanted to try to convey the feelings that are inherent in the song writer. But then I realized that if I did to someone or something is sick, then I'm sick on the ice (smiles).
If I did not want to compete, would be gone from the sport
- Why now you liking some heartbreaking theme? Miss Olympic emotions?
- Most likely, yes. After what I experienced at the Olympics, I want to once again experience these sensations. I think it even helps. I'll try to find myself needed adrenaline. When I ride a new voluntary program, feel great pleasure from it. A short drags me right, leads, thus easier for me to give emotions. Hopefully, in both productions I will like to merge with the music, become one.
- Compete something you want?
- Well, actually, I do want (laughs). If you'd rather not, would be gone from the sport. To us came to training specialists, looked track, and the whole program was evaluated. They said that I was very put on skating compared to what it was at the Olympics. Know how nice it was to hear it? Inside me is going on now! I want to work even harder to grow, showing only the best. I would even say that strive to achieve the perfect skate, to be really appreciated, will look at that and exclaim (smiles).
- In an interview with a colleague, we asked you, would you like to pick up the tradition of Carolina Kostner and create a spectacle on the ice. Then you answered somewhat vague, but judging by your new productions, and is now?
- I really became somehow conscious approach to productions programs. In fact, after the Olympics, I have matured ... I feel like I became a different attitude not only to sports, but also to life in general. I am now in a different look at my skating. I want to make the audience understand that I am the Olympic champion, it's not a coincidence that I did not just put! I want to prove it, and I hope I will succeed.
- Do you still think that should prove something to somebody?
- And always will be: fight, battle, endless ups and downs. But I've already done their job? Made. Just need to confirm it (laughs).
