Translation of Q&A at Continue with Wings ice show is finished. Masterpost is being updated and will be finished soon:
https://wherespacepooh.tumblr.com/p...nues-with-wings-day-1-master-post-ongoing#_=_
Q: Programs for next season?

A: For the next programs, I haven’t yet decided on the music or anything, but I’ve made a firm decision in my mind to participate in competitions, so I must get started as soon as possible right now – is what I’m thinking. The motivation for doing competitions – how I might be able to create programs that would bring me victory – such considerations used to be part of the thought process, but hereafter, I would like to more honestly [face] my own feelings, and really consider songs that I want to take on, or programs that I want to show, while choosing my music and also doing my choreography.

Q: [By] participation, [you mean] beginning from the Grand Prix Series?

A: That’s what I’m thinking at present. But in regards to the Loop, Flip and Lutz – at the current state I haven’t been doing them at all, so I don’t know how it would feel when I do them, or if I would feel pain then. As such, I must think this over with that also in mind, but in terms of how I personally feel right now, I’m thinking that I would like to attend as many competitions as possible and bring my own performance.

"I never do it exactly in the same way even in practice. The feeling that well up inside me each time come out in the choreography. I can't do choreography that I am not familiar with. I'm not into sexy (expression) but I skated to the feelings that poured out from my heart and it ended up that way." - Yuzuru Hanyu on the choreography for his SP at the Olympic

A 5-year-old girl asked: What is your precious possession?
Hanyu replied: "My Winnie the Pooh tissue case," and smile broadly.

Translation of Yuzuru's closing words can be found here: https://yukirin1408.tumblr.com/post/172953712968/ciontu-day-3-yuzurus-closing-words
No matter what I say, people will say (negative) things. Even if I’m just skating, (negative) things will be said. Things like that don’t just happen to me. I have attention gathered around me so it seems like it’s a lot, but I think it happens to people living normal lives as well. However, in the midst of all that, everyone here came to watch the show I held like this, raised their voices and released their stress, and I hope the show was able to become a part of everyone’s happiness. That’s why, at one period, when a lot happened including with the weekly magazine, I thought “why am I living” and “I’ll just die” countless times. But, but in the end, everyone gave me lots of support like this, and above all, what made me the happiest was when the people I admire sent messages to me. It happened right after the disaster as well, and everyone gave comments like “Yuzu, you’ll be okay.” I was really thankful, and I thought “I’m happy I’m skating.” Right now, I truly think “I’m happy to be alive.” Truly, thank you very much.

I feel like crying over his words.

Jeff has some nice words

6 yrs ago, I was asked to choreograph for Yuzu. I remember being nervous to deliver a worthy program, something that would highlight his incredible talent. Today, we finished the celebration of his TWO Olympic gold medals. I am fortunate to have been a part of both of them. Thank you Yuzu and Brian for believing in me, and for trusting in me. What a ride it has been Yuzu, and I’m looking forward to watching you fly and flourish for years to come.

From Shae

What a Joy it was to perform in and choreograph for Yuzu’s show @ContinuesWings in Tokyo. It was an unforgettable, heartfelt experience. Today’s show was broadcast live for 66 theatres in Japan. Amazing!

So this is not an article about Yuzuru .... But I thought it was kind of interesting and could relate to him in a way. It's an article about the Japanese press following Japanese baseball sensation Shohei Ohtani. I would guess the type of press coverage Ohtani receives is somewhat similar to Yuzuru.
It’s kinda scary the same. Actually Yuzuru doesn’t like cameras even though he is used to them. In Javi’s documentary, Javi said Yuzuru isn’t fond of being followed by so many cameras and all. Yuzuru carries himself before the media so well but it doesn’t mean he always loves it. At CoR he said sometimes he feels like he’s treated like an idol and he thinks it’s wrong. But nevertheless, he deals with the media quite well.

The last time Hanyu paraded in Sendai, following his Sochi Winter Games victory in 2014, approximately 92,000 people turned up to witness the young figure skating sensation. The latest parade covered a 1.1-kilometer stretch of the thoroughfare, about 220 meters longer than in the previous parade, to an intersection in front of the Sendai Municipal Government. The procession on April 22 drew a crowd of some 108,000, according to organizers.
The event was funded by donations and the proceeds from the sale of the T-shirts featuring the silhouettes of Hanyu and his signature.
This event got the money from donations! Amazing!

“I thought his parents chose figure skating as a means for their children’s growth and development, but no matter how strictly I scolded Yuzuru, they were understanding. As parents they had other options, children also have their likes and dislikes. There are few cases among the students I have taught in which things have progressed smoothly, but in this case Yuzuru also trusted his parents, and I think the family environment that was able to bring him up so properly was a big contributor. Yuzuru could challenge me without holding back and I was able to teach him my technique correctly.”

Olympic channel upload their new video on Yuzuru and Fantasy on ice show: https://twitter.com/olympicchannel/status/1000127043286290433

Yuzuru’s Q & A after Fantasy on Ice 2018 in Makuhari Day 1, 25 May 2018
Q: It has been a long time since you performed jumps at a public performance. What is the current condition of your ankle?

A: The types of jumps I am practicing are still restricted, I am currently practicing the axel, toeloop and salchow as rehabilitation. The situation right now is that I have not commenced training difficult entries and exits. As for the loop, lutz and flip, I felt pain (when he performed them) during the Olympics. As long as I am not attempting them I do not feel any pain.

Q: What about the new challenge of the 4A?

A: It is in the position of something I would like to do soon. As I am still in the process of rehabilitation, it is not the case that I can practice it properly. The situation right now is not one where I can practice it at shows and events. I do not currently have my sights set on such a difficult jump.

The Japanese government will confer the People's Honor Award on two-time Olympic figure skating gold medalist Yuzuru Hanyu, its top spokesman said Friday, making him the first figure skater to receive the honor.

Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga told a press conference that the presentation ceremony will be held on July 2 in Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's office.

Suga said the government appreciated Hanyu's "historic achievement" that "gave dreams and thrills to the people and hope and courage to society."

Hanyu, 23, will be the youngest individual to receive the award.

Help. I think someone tweeted a video of Yuzuru doing a 4T/direct into 3A sequence from a show. (Or was it 3T directly into 3A?) Anyway now I can't find it. I want to see this again.

All Yuzuru's cuts at Kanazawa FaOI: https://youtu.be/GwXUkkQeHqw

Translation of his interview after the Kanazawa show ended
Hanyu: I can say my condition is getting better… Um… how should I say? Until recently, it has been like, I fight really hard and manage to land a jump. But because of the improvement in physical condition, now I need to control my jumps more, otherwise, I will miss it because of over-rotation or something. So, I’m thinking that I should analyze my jumps more closely and improve their quality. But in that sense, my jumps are recovering themselves in each aspect such as sharpness, how I lift up in the air, how I control the rotation axis, etc., and I think I’m improving by experiencing many things in these shows. So I’m doing these show hoping to be stronger than how I was before Olympics, before the injury.

Yuzuru was at JOC ceremony award today. He talked about the 4A.
---
Yuzuru: "At Pyeongchang, I did not execute my most difficult layout but what I can tell myself is that I did the maximum of what I could do at the time. When continuing to compete, the risk of injury exists & you'll certainly experience failure but bc of that, growth is also connected. I not only have to develop my technical skill but also mental. I think my development as a person is also connected. I've achieved my results-related goal of repeating as Olympic champion so there's a huge sense of accomplishment. However, there remain things I want to challenge in figure skating and I think, again, things I need to polish. I definitely feel the desire to aim little by little for the 4A but I think that's something I must approach slowly with my body and heart in mind."

Yuzuru: "The music is already decided. The layout is being somewhat decided in my head. I can't give away much about the music, it's difficult to talk about my new program but... Since the layout of the free had already been worked out, I would like to redo it again. I would like to head into competition in a condition in which I am able to bring out my maximum ability. In a sense, I would like to display my new self with a new program, and in another sense, I am planning to skate a new program with new music with a new determination in my heart. Above all, I would simply like to enjoy skating.
[Regarding the new rules] In reality, there are many new rules that will not be clear until we see them in competition. I wish to continue being particular about my jumps, so I would like to practice aiming for beautiful jumps."
