Quick glance through Wiki and it doesn't look like it.

We had Men & Women in 53, 55-59, 82-83, 86 & 96, Women & Pairs in 79 & 22, Men & Dance in 24.

I think this is also the first time the US has qualified three spots in every discipline? (I know the pairs Olympic spot is subject to the test event  ).

I wouldn't have expected such a golden age for US figure skating even a few years ago. Granted, some of it is Russia being out, but I still think Liu and Chock/Bates would be on the podium even with Russians. And there's no question with Malinin.

US had a full team in 1984

I agree. I realize he's not everyone's cup of tea and that his skating skills are not the best in the field, BUT he's far more than just a jumper. He makes an effort with choreography. He's getting pretty consistent and wholly deserved majority +5s in choreographic and footwork sequences.
Yeah same for me, I mean I love Jasons performance and one of my favourite programs of the evening he is so sublime when he skates but Ilia is exciting and creates a different emotion in me. I guess I am fortunate that I can appreciate both.

I think the highlight for me of the men's competition at this Worlds is Shaidorov winning the silver medal. He's been so strong all season ... and to see that look of pure joy on his face when his scores went up was EVERYTHING. Of course, I feel sorry for Yuma but the greatest of skaters have those kinds of nights. He'll be back strong for next year for the BIG party in Italy.

It's been a really fun week with you all. Boston Worlds was a huge success.

May pop in to watch the gala tomorrow. I don't usually watch them but I watched the one after Worlds last year and it was a nice way to end the season.

Bye for now.

Given the craptastic state of Russian ice dance, I suspect ChoBat would have been the winners at least a couple of times these past 3 seasons - and StepBuk did sit out the 22-23 season because of her pregnancy.

It really is wonderful how things have turned around from where they were just five short years ago.

Surprisingly, this is NOT the first time - 1984 we had 3 in every discipline! Wikipedia for the quick research win again, lol.
1st & 2nd the same as world juniors 3 years ago 😍
And poor Tsuboi's down there in 21st wondering how it's gone so wrong for him and so right for Ilia & Misha, lol.
