The fact that he scored only one point less than Jason in PCS is the joke. The rulebooks need to be re-written, but how you get judges to decouple quads from PCS is going to be an enduring mystery.

Also Jason was 4th in the free. Quality matters, folks.
Or reputation scoring!

I'm all for fair judging and I should be mad that Yuma is on the podium with that disaster of a FS but then I remember that these same judges gave Ilia 91+ PCS so we're even. If you're going to be generous with the home crowd/fed's favourite, you might as well also be generous with my favourite.

The womens and mens panels have been pretty generous all around. I am not sure how I feel about it.

Well I love his raspberry and he did it right in front of us in Grenoble, for those who have not seen him live you must it’s so much better! His technical ability is incredible.

I agree. I realize he's not everyone's cup of tea and that his skating skills are not the best in the field, BUT he's far more than just a jumper. He makes an effort with choreography. He's getting pretty consistent and wholly deserved majority +5s in choreographic and footwork sequences.

Big congrats to Mikhail Shaidorov on winning a silver, well deserved. He's had a great season and I hope next season is even better. But also, a guy from Kazakhstan stands on the podium exactly 10 years after another guy from Kazakhstan stood on the world podium for the last time, and that guy was Denis Ten, and I'm gonna cry :wuzrobbed

He's not one of these "I can jump so who cares about the rest" skaters. He's constantly working on everything. It's one of the things I like about him.
