Worlds 2025 Men Short Program: “Abraquadabra”

So if the competition finished like the short program, olympic spots would be like this?

USA 3
JPN 3
KAZ 2 * (1 to Qualifier)
FRA 3 * (1 to Qualifier)
GEO 2 * (1 to Qualifier)
ITA 2
KOR 2 * (1 to Qualifier)
AZE 1
CAN 1
LAT 1
SWE 1
SVK 1
EST 1
POL 1
----- No Quota
CHN 1
ESP 1
What's the ---No Quota mean?

3 spots - USA & JPN
2 spots + 1 OQE entry - FRA
2 spots - ITA
1 spot + 1 OQE entry - KAZ, GEO & KOR
1 spot - AZE, CAN, CHN, ESP, EST, LAT, POL, SVK, SWE

If the standings remain as they are then only 22 spots would be awarded this week and there would be 7 spots up for grabs at the OQE.

I intended to come home and watch the replay of the skaters I missed, but noooo, Peacock doesn't have the replay up.

I mean, I guess it worked out. I walked the dogs, took a shower, and don't have to make the choice between men's for first group of pairs.
Just checked and Mens SP replay on Peacock is available now....also @canbelto

Ilia and Yuma were both phenomenal, but Yuma’s is the one I’ve gone back and watched a few times already. Unreal quality.

I really do like this short for Ilia and I kind of hope he keeps it for next season. Maybe not everyone’s cup of tea (and the costume needs to go), but he responds to this really well and is performing and connecting to this music in a way he often does not.

I want to lock Isabeau L. in a room and force her to watch training videos of Yuma jumping.
She's probably very well aware of the difference between his technique and hers, but there’s no point in doing anything now. She's already locked into her technique through next season. If she wants to continue after that, she can watch those videos then.

Yeah, maybe after the Olympics she can spend a year re-working things and be willing to accept possibly short-term struggling a la Mao but for now, we can just hope this last through next year.
