Ehhhhhh... until they have a 2nd woman who displays some degree of consistency, they're fine with just 1 woman, lol.

Well until the competition just last week Lara always bombs the short program, but then gets like 126 in the free. Last week she finally had a good short program as well.

And she has really interesting programs.

On a totally shallow note, I guess Kaori is growing her hair out but the braid is very elementary school.

And Isabeau is growing into a beautiful woman but she’s definitely had body changes which are probably playing havoc with her skating.

NBC has a habit of sharing awful jump technique in slo mo.

How this got +2 and +3 is beyond me. She’s crept into Ashley Wagner-style technique with both jumps and there’s no way that 3T should have been called clean.

So happy to see Loena in first place after a fierce, confident skate. Brought down the house. Isabeau with her absolutely beautiful skating with lightness, style, extension…standing out from the rest of the field in that regard. Glad to see her more her normal competitive self. The Haein Lee we know and love showed up today. Good for her. Kaori tight but still the best double axel ever. Tough to defend a third in a row! Free skate….who knows!?!

Morricone is one of the greatest composers for films that ever lived. You should look him up on IMDB next time you’re looking for a movie to watch.
If you get the chance to see the Morricone documentsry, Maestro, don’t miss it.

Awesome, now someone tranq that shouty man getting picked up on the mike- who hired him for commentary?
I just wrote about him in the TV commentaries thread. First he bugged me then made me laugh so hard that the tears washed off my make up…especially as his voice followed Loena’s moves. This guy was close to having a heart attack. “HOP HOP HOP….AAAAAHHHHH!” during each jump.

I'm watching the English feed but you can hear the French Canadian commentator Alain Goldberg in the background and he's way too excited LOL.

Ah, so that the guy who kept me laughing!!! I hope that they have Medical Alert nearby.

Well, woke up to all this.

I am so happy with Loena. Her programs are angula, powerful and project. Great score

I think Levito was a little faster going into the jumps. Or is it wishful thinking

Glad to see You Young do well. It`s not top You but a long way out of the wilderness she`s been in.

What has happened to Grubanova?

She started off fine, but she had a jarring error on her combo - seemed to land the first jump fine but then didn't do the combo and almost came to a full stop. After that, her program just went flat.

Also, Rukavicin wasn't there with her so maybe that threw her off.

Generous calling for Loena's jumps - very "q"-y to me on some of them but as always, tech panel turns a blind eye to her tech faults.

Isabeau seemed very nervy and tentative but glad she got everything in neatly and cleanly. Great program for her, even though I liked the snake charmer too.

Impressed by Haein - man does this girl know when to peak or what. Hope she can continue the momentum in the long.

Kaori - wish she did better, hope she can come back in the long. This season just feels off for her - both in programs, in messy slip ups throughout the season. Nervously awaiting the long for her.

Young You - nice to see her back. Love this program.

Chaeyeon - Love this program. The < on the 3T seems harsh given the free passes that other skaters have gotten but that's women's tech panel for ya.

Chiba - so annoyed she popped that lutz. Hope she comes back in the long.

Gomez - so glad she qualified. Was bummed she seemed on the cusp for a while but happy she slipped in.

---
Also, Tonia seems a random choice here. I really liked Adam and Ashley's Nationals commentary, would have preferred them with Mark instead.
