Darenskyi's facial hair is a choice, he looks 23 going on 50, but they should absolutely always put him in something with long dark sleeves. He has incredibly elegant arms and balletic hands, I hadn't noticed yesterday.

HolDar -SBS 3f - they don't even TRY to jump in synch; 3tw - nice; SBS 3s+1a+1a - he was a mess on the 3s landing; throw 3lo nice; first lift - really nice; FIDS - very nice; every time I see his jacket, I think he got it from some Nashville vintage clothing shop that specializes in costumes from country music performers from the 60s & 70s; throw 3s very nice; second lift great; combo spin - not a highlight & they should have buried it in the middle of their program. Should easily be good enough for silver here.

Great job by the Ukrainians! As long as the ISU rules allow it, I don't have a problem with "senior" skaters skating at Jr Worlds, especially since the medalists are all likely to get 2 senior GP assignments next year. My lack of excitement about the Georgians is about their terrible programs

MetBeru - 3tw - okay; SBS 3s+2a - he put his hand down on the 2a; SBS 3t - he pitched forward on the landing; throw 3f - fine; first lift - not as smooth as they're capable of doing; throw 3lo - very good; FIDS nice; combo spin - fine; second lift - fine; choreo seq - eh... They nearly ended behind their music & she had to rush getting that dumb-ass hoodie up.

Just for this competition, I'm sure, since they had to cut 1 lift and 30 seconds to make it junior length.

Well, it wasn't their best (a couple of glitches) but Anastasiia and Luka were certainly the best overall and deserve the gold medal. I know a lot of you are annoyed that they are even IN this competition but rules are rules and they aren't breaking any of them by being here. So, congrats to them and Sofiia and Artem .... and the GREAT WHITE NORTH!!
