The thread title just made me think of the 'why is Gamora' scene from Infinity War

I submit that some music should be retired with the skater, like a baseball number, and this program is my evidence.
Just adorable. Best Exogenesis skate, Imo, and worthy of an entry in the war-horses-thread.
What a fabulous program. Man, he OWNED that Nationals ice.
Sometimes the competition at home is the steepest of all -- especially if you are one of those skaters to whom anything but gold is failure. There are those (Sasha Cohen, Sarah Hughes) who did better internationally than at Nationals.
It wouldn't surprise me to learn that there are other skating powerhouse countries such as Russia and Japan with similar situations. Now that I think of it, Yagudin might be one example.
Why do some skaters do better nationally and/or other skaters do better internationally seems like a perfectly valid topic.
