Unless something extremely unusual happens, the Ice dance gold and silver will go to P&C and V&M (or V&M and P&C).

Who is most likely to win the Bronze? Sorry about the spellings. I will have to edit the post to correct them.

Shibs, based on the SD, who is a great vehicle for them. They can have mistakes and get high points with it. It's going to be hard for everyone else to get in.

I want the Shibs to get the bronze but after this GPF I am worried. Ice dance scores are always so close that one mistake can knock one down in the standings.

I don't think anything is etched in stone, though there is a very high probability for gold and silver. For bronze it is still an open field, imo. The Shibs have an edge but not a clear one.

I suspect Shibs but I'd like Hub/Don. I think H/D have been underscored the last few events. Do they really have to "wait their turn" and jump to second ranking after the Olympics? I predict that's what will happen.

We will find out at the US nationals

I really don't mean this in a confrontational way, nor do I think it's a negative to have voted for them since I am a huge fan of H/D's FD and think they have top-notch skating skills and tons of persuasive personality on ice. I just think the people choosing H/D are answering the question: "Who do you prefer to win the bronze?" instead of "Who is most likely to win the bronze?"

I can't figure out a way in my mind to justify H/D as *likely* bronze medalist candidates because that would mean they are *likely* to be mistake-free on the biggest stage ever in their career. They may end up so, but I don't see how to say that that's *likely.*

They have done well this season in the GP events. So I think they have a really good shot at the bronze. They placed higher than both C&B and Shibs in at least one segment of the dance event. And basically lost the bronze on a lift in the FD by not very much. It is close to call. But all teams have to perform their socks off in order to podium.

It is really too bad that there are only 3 medals or only one winner per medal because there are so many excellent teams that I like.
For me nothing is written in stone not the gold, not the silver and not the bronze. Ice is slippery and we could have any outcome if mishaps happen for V/M, P/C and S/S.

I love H/D, W/P and this year I really like C/B and many others. The only ones I'm really disappointed about are G/P, I like their SD but their FD ugh !

Head - Shibs

Heart - H/D

BTW, I wonder who will be in the final flight of 5. Due to heavy politicking in an Olympic year, it’s likely one American pair gets knocked down to the penultimate group, deserved or not, to make way for Bobrova/Soloviev, Capellini/LaNotte or Weaver/Poje
