What song are you listening to?

I stumbled upon this today and was like  . Chet Hanks. Who knew!!! And the video is . Great song too!

Eddie Money - Two Tickets to Paradise

Somewhere I saw an interview of him talking about this song. He was a working class guy doing his first year at UC Berkeley and he was dating a well to do young woman whose dad didn’t really like him. He couldn’t afford to take her on a fancy vacation, so he wanted to invite her to take a Greyhound bus ride up to Arcata (not Arcadia - that’s in Southern California) so he could show her the redwoods.

Listening to Whitney Houston. She made history today in 1987 by being the first black female artist to debut at number one on the Top Billboard Chart 200 with her second album, Whitney.

Three of my favorites from that album.

I Wanna Dance with Somebody - Whitney Houston

Didn't We Almost Have it All - Whitney Houston

Where Do Broken Hearts Go - Whitney Houston

Jamaica- Vitas

Thinking of hurricane Melissa in Jamaica

First of all I want to hear the whole song: Just the smile I needed for a dreary Monday morning.

Listening to Raye and everytime I see her I just know her live shows are fire:

Amy Grant dropped a new song yesterday. The 6th of January. I can't say I loved it at first and I had to research a few of the references, but I've been listening to it all day and I really love it. It's evoking a strong emotional reaction and I'm not sure why but I guess that's what music does.
Responses from her fan base seem mixed.
I'm wondering if there are any other Amy Grant fans here and what you think of the song? Her music has meant a lot to me over the years.

Thank you @PeterG for sharing this song arrangement with me. I'm pretty sure some of you know about how Stevie Nicks came up with the song, Stand Back. Stevie once explained it several years ago on VH1 Storytellers.

She had just gotten married, and she and her husband heard Little Red Corvette by Prince in their car while on their honeymoon. She liked the song so much that she wrote lyrics based on the music. She called Prince and asked him to listen to the song to see how he liked it.

Prince showed up at the recording studio and played the Synthesizer for Stand Back, and then simply left. Prince received 50% of the royalties for his uncredited synthesizer work on "Stand Back," They agreed to a 50/50 split for the track that was inspired by his "Little Red Corvette," with Nicks keeping her promise for decades.

The neat part about it is that Stevie said if you sang and replaced the words, "Stand Back, Stand Back" with "Little Red Corvette" that it actually worked and it does!

To my surprise and delight, @PeterG found this version of Stevie's song. Stevie's vocals replace Prince's vocals for his song, Little Red Corvette.
