They look rejuvenated. What a lovely new softness and unison in their skating. These programs are breathtaking. And Andrew is twizzling like there's no tomorrow! I am thrilled!
I noticed that his twizzles looked like less of a struggle too! Here's hoping he keeps that up!They look rejuvenated. What a lovely new softness and unison in their skating. These programs are breathtaking. And Andrew is twizzling like there's no tomorrow! I am thrilled!
I would like to see them on the world podium. If I was not rooting for P&C, I would be rooting for W&P for gold.
You know who....has certainly improved their speed and basic skating skills and has made other improvements. Pascale is a great choreographer though not too sure about Igor on that...although technically he is super on details.I wish they switched their primary coach to Igor or Pascale instead of you know who.
I'd say she looked surprised for a short moment before she remembered that the scoring is very different this season.Weaver looked pleasantly surprised by their marks in the free skate.
I'll be curious to see how P & C are scored in comparison under the revised IJS.

On the other hand, I can respect what he’s done for Weaver/Poje as a coach and choreographer. It’s definitely not ideal imo, but if Kaitlyn and Andrew are okay and comfortable with the arrangement, then I won’t meddle.
My friends and I have noticed this too. There was one comp where Nikolai put his hand on Kaitlyn’s knee and she pulled away, so I can only assume she’s not comfy with him. Andrew is always very protective and gentlemanly, as he should be.Agree. I have noticed that in the Kiss & Cry, Andrew always sits between Kaitlyn and Coach. I presumed it was as a "safety buffer" per request of Kaitlyn. But this could be my imagination running wild.
Well IMO the two canadians teams have made a case of both being on the worlds podium this season.
I would have them first of those two canadian teams at the moment.
Sounds like they have a plan all step up. Hopefully it works out for them.Plenty of practice time, including regular consults with ice dance technical specialists, is part of the program.
"We will not be dilly-dallying, we are very, very organized,” Weaver said. “This presents a unique challenge for us, one we’ve never done before, I don’t know if anyone has ever done it before. We’ve scheduled our down time with (technical) callers, with our coaches. The producers of the show know we are competitors and that is our main goal, so it’s a give-and-take with the show. It’s a risk, but it’s one we are ready and excited for.”
How wonderful.Really lovely article by Beverley Smith about Weapo doing seminars - and much more - in a very small town in the far north of Canada.

What does this mean? I assume that Weaver/Poje will not be skating at sectionals because there are Thank You Canada tour dates overlapping the competition.

Well, I think P&C are well ahead of the rest of the field for now, so they shouldn’t have too much trouble keeping the top spot.
However, it’s my dream to see WeaPo pass everyone else, so let’s root for a world silver medal here!
I cringe every time I think of The Six Wives of Nikolai Morozov (okay I don’t think he’s reached six yet, but I’ve honestly lost count).
