Re-posting from the Programs/Choreographers thread:
Vincent Zhou has shared a few clips from his SP: https://www.instagram.com/p/BmJJNvUh87w/?taken-by=govincentzhou
"2018-2019 SP: Exogenesis Symphony Pt. 3, choreographed by Lori Nichol"
Jeff Buttle choreographed Vincent's SP in Toronto back in June (music not yet known): https://www.instagram.com/p/Bj0bp3QBBJo/

Alex Johnson will attend his first Champs Camp later this month. In late July he posted a clip from one of his programs (short or long?): https://www.instagram.com/p/BluOTmSA8Ux/
The lyrics he posted are from "The Golden Age" by Woodkid.
Alex had mentioned back in March that Shae-Lynn Bourne choreographed his free skate ("It was an incredibly liberating process and something that left me feeling refreshed and energized."): https://www.instagram.com/p/Bg46IJVgtHh/

Has exogenesis officially become a warhorse?

Having said that I am not entirely sick of it yet and look forward to seeing Vincent skate to it. But it sure is making the rounds. Its like the modern day Scheherarzade.

Added later: Of all the Exogenesis warhorses... whose is your favorite? There's so dang many but I go with Guignard & Fabbri.

I didn't realize how much "To Build a Home" was utilized on American dramas, documentaries, etc. until AFTER P/C's program and then I started hearing it every where. It's like when you buy a new car and all you see are other people driving your car for a while.

Re-posting from the Challenger Series thread and replying here:
[U.S. Classic/SLC assigned] Men
Jimmy Ma
Vincent Zhou
...
Why are there only 2 US men??
Alex Johnson, Emmanuel Savary, and Sean Rabbitt are probably scheduled for other events, Tim Dolensky will be at Lombardia, and maybe Jason, Alex K., and Nathan aren't quite ready. The rest of the ISP guys are juniors on the JGP, for the most part. Keep in mind Ondrej Nepela and Autumn Classic are a week later, and Nebelhorn is a week after that. Max, Adam, Ross, and Grant being out of the picture really takes a big chunk out of the senior field. Perhaps by next season we will finally see Torgashev, Tomoki, and Camden moving up to senior internationally...
Since Savary isn't in the ISP at this time, I believe he doesn't qualify for an international assignment.

Nathan starts his freshman year at Yale immediately after Champs Camp and may not have time in his schedule for an Challenger before the start of his Grand Prix season at Skate America.

It would be logical for Jason to debut his programs at the Autumn Classic in Oakville, Ontario since it's not far from his training base.

In case anyone missed seeing it, here's the link to Grant Hochstein's retirement news thread: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/th...shaped-me-into-who-i-am-as-a-person-”.104227/

He has the third highest score of the summer and isn't on the ISP? Did Skate Dallas not count? Plus he finished second at the Broadmoor Open ahead of three guys on the ISP and with a 198+ score that is less than a point lower than Ma's summer best?

My understanding is that there is a minimum score needed to get on the ISP. Jimmy I think got it at Nationals. Sean Rabbit made a comment that his first comp of the season (which was higher than Emmanuel's highest this summer) was not high enough but Glacier Falls was. So i think the threshold is about 220.

It would be nice if they were more open about this... there is nothing wrong with a minimum score, but making it more public would avoid your's and many other's confusion about the matter.

Here is Sean's instagram post where he mentions needing a minimum score for be eligible for the ISP although (as StitchMonkey pointed out) he doesn't mention what total score is required:

After the Olympic season I found out I missed making the International Selection Pool (ISP) which is where athletes are selected for team USA for competitions by mere points. With that, many other things in my training environment changed, and I wasn’t sure if I should try to get the required score or just compete a small season. I decided to try a small competition in June to get the score, once again missing it by points because of 5 mistakes in the long. The last real chance was to try this weekend and get the score. Why? Because I don’t like the word NO. So the past month I trained hard, by myself much of the time, and gave it everything I got. Due to this, so much glory came to me at this last weekend‘s competition. To start, in the short prprogram I skated the best I think I could’ve ever asked for and at age 28 (considered old) received a new personal best. From there in the free program I skated a clean free program which combined with the short program was able to give me enough points to receive the required score to become a member of the ISP this season. Truly truly I am so thankful for everyone pushing me and supporting me especially those in my close circle of friends! I’m gonna keep chugging along and setting an example of not giving up when the going gets tough.

I think that sounds about right.

Yes, they do.

ETA: If I'm recalling correctly, I was told Jr dance needs 117 total score.

Not that I was still realistically hoping that he would come back competitively, but seeing Joshua Farris as a coach is still kinda upsetting.

I didn’t realize Ryan had moved. That’s in addition to recent moves by Emmanuel Savary and Ting Cui. Sorry so many of my Delmarva skaters are leaving before I get to move back. *sigh* Good luck to them all.

Yes, who was Savary training with previously, and who is he working with now?

Interesting that Ryan Dunk has moved to Mitchell/Johansson. I will enjoy watching Ryan's progress with these wonderful coaches. :) I thought Ryan deserved a bit better scores at Bratislava, especially for his clean fp.

Emmanuel was at University of Delaware with Pam Gregory according to ISU bio. His bio hasn't been updated so I don't know who his current coach is in Colorado Springs.

I hope this turns out to be a beneficial move for Emmanuel. He is very talented, so he seemingly did need to make a change in order to progress to the next level over the coming quad.

I think Torgashev is very gifted musically, expressively and technically, but he seemingly has had a difficult time coming back to full form, consistency and confidence after his injury as a junior. And this is coupled with the usual growing pains. I don't think those ahead of Torgashev at Bratislava are substantially better than him, especially not artistically. Yes they were more technically consistent at this competition, and of course the top-ranked Gogolev has huge rep and technical fire power.

Right now though, Gogolev still has a lot of maturing to do even despite looking much more pulled together in terms of packaging and costuming. Gogolev has also grown in height a slight bit, but his expressive abilities are not as good right now as they perhaps might become with maturity. For all his technical prowess, he's amazingly still only 13!

Meanwhile, if Torgashev can continue pushing and improving his confidence and consistency, he can certainly rival all of the top-ranked skaters in juniors. Ryan Dunk is a contender too, who can go far with the right mindset, preparation, and continued opportunities.

Has Maxim Naumov competed this summer?
No. He posted photos on his IG after surgery in April (his right leg was bandaged up) and again in May (right ankle & foot bandaged and he replied "nothing too serious just had to take a few pieces of bone out and shave some stuff down").
